the best digital camera?

Looking for a digital camera to buy, but do not have to much knowledge on them. What is the best kind to get? best to have it with a little floppy drive in it? or take memory sticks??

any and all input is helpful!
 
Uh, how much money do you have to spend? If you wanted "best" you could spend US$15000 or more. I'm guessing you don't need the best. 😉

To start you off, these following > 3 Megapixel cameras are considered 3 of the top 5 affordable consumer cameras.

Nikon Coolpix 990
Olympus C-3030 Zoom
Kodak DC4800 Zoom (which I own)

These are in the $650-900 range.
 
900 and under is a good price range. Good quality, with some extra add on tweaks would be cool, like to be able to have some decent quality prints. and a good way to either, recharge the batteries, or buy CHEAP new ones.. um.. what else do I need to say?
