the best cooling ever....

what if u were to put a computer in one of those large freezers they have in meat places to keep the meat frozen? get the cpu temp to below 0. talk about overclocking....

people have often mentioned the "computer in the freezer" idea...the response is usually that condensation would cause problems. i think that's where liquid nitrogen comes into play😉

lol, well I'M going to invent something to rid computers of condensation in the freezer! (5 years later u turn on the tv to see me on the evening news, the man who put a computer in the freezer!)

i think the airplane propeller is a bit much...but for those of you who have been to a dragstrip, how about those HUGE floor fans used to cool the engine after a quarter mile pass?

Well, I've done a variation on that- before booting a O/C setup, I'll remove the HS/Fan and throw it in the deep freeze for a hour before booting- If it starts and runs awhile I know that the cooling is the limiting factor

Intresting concept... although I question how well it works considering how fast a cpu heats up. Alot of times, you notice problems when you boot into windows and by then, it probably has heated up to normal levels.

I do assume that all of you realize there are ways around codensation right? After a bit of effort, you could dunk your computer in water while it was running and not have any problems. Well, as long as it was water w/o any currents cause the treatment could possibly deterioate if it was in a current 🙂
