Hi people, I'm thinking of buying a new cooler for my FX-55 and I would like to hear different opinions on the subject.
Which would be the best cooler for an Athlon64 FX-55 socket 939?

XP-120.

ThermalTake Big Typhoon is getting popular too, as is the Sonic Tower.

XP-90C is in general the best performance cooler, but not so much in general where the price and the weight overrule performance.

Lol, they merely dont come with a fan. I suppose you COULD run them fanless with a cool processor, but you are supposed to get a fan for them.

The XP-90 and the C while the C uses copper it doesn't do much. I find it hard to recommend the C over the regular. If you are looking for the absolute best, the XP-120 is it. It might not fit on your motherboard however.

The Zalmans are also very good, and they come stock with a fan. I would highly recommend the 7700 series.

Do not get a Thermaltake. Artic Cooling is decent but not nearley as good as Thermalright or Zalman.
