One of my favorite features of DVD's are the commentaries. What are some of your favorites? Here are my favorites:
A Bug's Life(John Lasseter & Friends, better than either of the Toy Story Commentaries, which are still good)
Fantasia (Includes Walt Disney Himself)
Bring it On (Director Peyton Reed has non-stop fun!)
Pleasantville (Randy Newman's commentary along with his isolated score - I'm a film score buff!)
The Matrix (Don Davis, isolated score + commentary, for the same reason as the Randy Newman commentary)
Bowfinger (Frank Oz, the first commentary which really opened my eyes to the art of editing a film)
Clerks: Uncensored (The short-lived Animated Series, with the whole entire View Askew crew -- funny as all get out!)
Contact (Jodie Foster -- the first commentary I ever heard, filled with lots of good stuff!)
Perfect Storm (Sebastian Junger, the author, gives some great background on Gloucester fishermen and the storm)
Bride of Frankenstein (More of an essay than a commentary, but nevertheless very informative)
Men in Black (An Audio AND Video commentary in the truest sense. Neat use of technology!)
The worst (or most disappointing, I guess):
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (Ang Lee and his producer "MST3K" the best picture of 2000. Extremely embarrassing!)
Superman (Richard Donner and Tom Manckewicz spend their time either praising themselves or saying, "oh my."
The Matrix (The first commentary with cast and crew. Boooring...)
Dinosaur (The first commentary. Way too technical for its own good)
What Lies Beneath (Robert Zemeckis and Producers just don't get their own show, IMHO)
Starship Troopers (Paul Verhoven -- "Digital Johnny, Real Johnny, Digital Johnny..." 'nuff said!)
North by Northwest and Vertigo (Never have senile, 85-year old men participate in commentaries AGAIN!)
