And she's 17 years old! I've downloaded the original version and, honestly, her cover is better in my opinion. Beautiful, powerful, and emotionally performed. Hope this girl has a future.

All of the black girls are incredible this year... but yea, that performance by Jordin could make a few people cry... :)

I still want Blake to win.

Blake is Great! I would buy his album, but Jordin's performance was soul stirring, magical, and very different. Blake's music is fun and inventive, Jordin's performance was just an amazing vocal and a moving performance.

I do not know who wrote that song, or who originally recorded it, but some 38 years ago, I had this song on an album, and the artist did it ALOT better! (imo).
Oh, and the artist? Tom Jones so shoot me

second is not a bad thing. :)
they get ALL that exposure and then aren't bound under a Sony/BMG/American Idol contract.

I know it's just an opinion so I apologize for any offense, but I thought McPhee's performance was really sacharrin and just felt so forced to me. Hard to explain- the vocal was very good but the emotion behind it felt forced, like a great broadway singer who's a mediocre actor.

Tom Jones did a cover, I was referring to the original (female vocalist).

That's all of Katharine's performances in general. She's a big act... and I hear she's real bitchy behind the scenes. They made her out to be a sweetheart on tv.

Yes, I hated how she always acted all giggly and cute after she performed then quickly put on a sexy face when Ryan read her number. It was just so tacky... Never liked her. Jordin's perfomance felt very real - look at the way she looks sadly away when she sings "You buy her diamonds" as if she's thinking about her lover at that moment. Very real, very believable in my opinion.

Aren't the top 10 all required to go out on some kind of AI tour?

I don't like when they change the gender in the song...if it ends up being a man singing a song about another man, or a woman singing about another woman, that's how they should let it be

i think the top 10 are under appearance contracts, but as far as record contracts i think that just applies to the winner.

show me a link that says otherwise. i'd be interested in knowing the facts.

And she's 17 years old! I've downloaded the original version and, honestly, her cover is better in my opinion. Beautiful, powerful, and emotionally performed. Hope this girl has a future.

There's still hope, man! Watch all six Rocky movies back to back, and hope that knocks the wimpyness out of ya :)

On the other hand, maybe you should skip Rocky 5. That movie sucked.
