My friend is thinking about getting a 4400+ but he doesn't want to upgrade his AGP x800. What would be one of the better motherboards that don't have many problems getting set up from scratch?

DFI nF3 LANParty. Unlike the MSI board, it has X2 support with the stock BIOS, which means you don't have to worry about flashing anything.

Thirded or look @ the GIGABYTE GA-K8NS Ultra-939 as it has many added features like 1394B...I would hesitate on the DFI as the MoBo has many problems...Got one sitting right here waiting for a new BIOS which will hopefully correct problems with it:|

Truth.

Nforce 3 Ultra/250GB boards are the best you'll get with Socket 939 and AGP.

I'm running the 9NDA3+ and it's a great board.
