The best 939 overclocker?

My brother wants a 939 pci-express motherboard for christmas, but is specifically looking for the best overclocking possible. All other features are secondary. So which motherboards fit the bill?

The DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D is about the best you can get, but prepare yourself to fiddle with very long lists of options in order to get it stable... There are also a lot of incompatibility issues with RAM and PSU's... Only if you're sure that everything is supported like it should, you can pick this one...

If you want serious overclocking without the hassle of incompatibility, an EPoX EP-9NPA+ Ultra, a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum (mine hits easily over 320MHz) and an Abit Fatal1ty AN8 (hmm, can't find them for sale) are your best bets... Do keep in mind that the Abit is very good, but very expensive too...

Won't give you links to reviews, there are plenty about these boards... 😉

I have had my AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice at 2.7GHz (9x300MHz), but currently I backed off to 2.4GHz (8x300MHz)... The highest "FSB" was 332MHz, but I had my RAM on a divider, just to test the full potential of the board and the CPU... This review shows it hitting even 370MHz... It is absolutely the best mainboard I have ever had...
