My main PC is back alive! I can finally listen to music and check my email at home again!

And the new processor is doing better than expected... Q6600 @ 3.6 GHz! I was expecting around 1.5k per day on boinc but I'm getting over 2k so far (lowest day it had run out of work). I think its so large mostly from the optimized client.

I'm so happy you've no idea. The whir of fans and occasional bubbly sound from the water cooling is so comforting.

 is that on SETI?

(I've yet to see how much higher my Q6600 will go with my new HSF)

Bubbling sounds from water cooling?? doesn't that mean you've got an air lock?

Yeah... I put the fill port in a bad spot so it doesn't get rid of air very fast. The radiator is on the top so it holds a little air and it slowly moves to the fill port, since the water systems been moved all around there are still a few bubbles clearing out. It'll die down in a week or so. Either way my temps are around 41-44c loaded.

If I ever find the time to completely empty the system I'll move my fill port to a different spot in the loop so air gets out faster.

I didn't know that goldfish could survive in espresso blend?

I once had 6 Blue Rams that were doing poorly because the water wasn't acidic enough, so I added a little espresso blend to the tank.

They died! However, they didn't stop twitching for 3 days!

Apparently it only makes them produce funny gurgling sounds

Fair enough ,nice load temps :)
Btw maybe you could do what some car manufactures do for car cooling systems, put in a bleed screw at the highest point(s)?

I'm planning on putting the fill port on the bottom of the system, then running the machine upside down a few days to bleed it. The radiator has a bleed screw that i use, it doesn't get it all though.

Thermochill PA120.3 radiator
Swiftech MCP 350 pump with Alphacool Laing DDC Acrylic top
Swiftech Storm Rev.2 water block
Maze 4 gpu block

I had forgotten what most of the parts where since I pieced it together October 06 :S
I don't know how it compares to more current stuff, been a while since I looked into water stuff.
