The battle of the pichosts! Gallery support, with batch file uploading, a java frontend, zip file support and more!

I know most of y'all are using dwell/sully, notfred, Adul, or paulson's pichosting, but for those of you who aren't, or need more storage/different options, here's another option. I finally hacked the PHP in gallery to allow for a self-registration system; I also changed the CSS to make it look a bit nicer, though I don't know how Opera/Mozilla react to it since I haven't had time. Anyway - there are still a few kinks that I have to work out, like the way permissions are handled in gallery, but I think it's much improved now. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. I know the "no babe pics" rule scares some of you off, but hopefully others will find it useful.

Let me know if you have any suggestions, and I'll see what I can do. I'm still working on some of the code, since not everything the developers of this software did makes perfect sense to me. Let me know how the speed, etc., are as well. Thanks!

Here's a list of stuff you can do with this that might make it more appealing, just in case:

[*]No enforced storage limitations (please try to keep it reasonable, though).
[*]"Slideshow" option. <--- kinda cool, check it out here
[*]Organization into galleries and nested galleries.
[*]Batch file uploading.
[*]Auto-image resizing (thumbnails and 800x600 images automatically created from a larger upload)
[*]Gallery remote java client.

My friend Molly took them with a digicam, and that's not her forte.

I'm using the gallery remote software, which is pretty cool right now. I've got a que of 269 photos from my road trip to upload. Lord knows how many of them suck, but oh well...

If you search for registration on the gallery forums, you can see the basic package for doing it. Once you get the basic self-registration up and running, I can help you hack the register.php to implement the random password generator and emailer, if you want.

It's a java client that allows you to directly upload, etc., from your computer to the server. I uploaded 270 pics last night without intervention.

BTW, for those of you who can't tell, this isn't a competition. I think all of us are offering different sorts of hosting, targeted at different users, just to give back to the community. It's also a test to see how well I can hack PHP, for me.
