"Pilot"
New, 9/15/2015, Thriller & Suspense, Action, History, Supernatural, Suspense
In the early 14th century, a knight in King Edward I's army battered down by the ravages of battle makes a vow to retire his post as a soldier of war, but when his past returns, he is driven to pick up the most savage sword known to man.

Could be good...

*edit, prequel of SoA? 😉

My biggest question about this show is whether he is an executioner whose parents were never married, or is it that he is a regular executioner who has some sort of special dispensation from the king to go out and execute illegitimate children?

So far it looks like a GoT knockoff, a few sex scenes and people being flayed/tortured. They need a witch with big boobs to keep me interested !

Looks interesting I guess. Will check it out since Under The Dome ended and The Last Ship season concluded. Now all I have is The Strain. I do have to catch up on Sleepy Hollow and Falling Skies. LOL

Heh, nice to see Galen, Jemma and a few others again...
So far, nothing special going on, seems the typical story.
Maybe this is why it is a 10 episode series?

I tried to watch it with the wife last night...

It seems like a really slow burn with nothing that really grabs your attention. There are a lot of poorly introduced tropes (a former soldier, a mysterious druid/shaman/witch, an evil "Sheriff of Nottingham" type), but no real stakes. There wasn't a single character or character interaction that really grabbed us as viewers. We found ourselves bored and switching to something else after 45 minutes.

I will stick with it, finish the pilot and watch a couple more episodes, but my initial impression is one of disappointment.

Pretty much this for me too. Was excited for the show, then after the 6th cliche character (right about the 45 min mark) I went back to doing whatever I was doing before the show came on.

I might go for the 2nd episode, but chances aren't good.

I'm liking the 2nd hour very much and LOL at the impatient viewers who say it's too slow and gave up after 30 minutes.

well the first show of the first season should start with action. If they didnt do that then they were trying to be different in a way they shouldnt.

I like the supernatural aspect. And I think it's a combination of the executioner of bastards plus the bastard who is an executioner.

Well this was sorta meh, the cgi was laughable. Overall the show was a mess but got a little better as it went on. I will give it a couple more episodes but not impressed at all

Finally got to watch this. Between the butt naked witch, Brave Heart-like brutality and the doggy style hump scene within the first eight minutes I knew this would be an in your face show.

Show is alright. Looking forward to more brutality. The old English accents are hard for me to hear. My ear isn't tuned for that shit.

And I thought these two blooks were killed off in The Last Ship. LOL
