...was called "Yeah Yeah Yeahs". With a stupid name and a rather odd-looking female vocalist who doesn't have the best voice, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The musicians had an interesting sound that takes me back to the late '80s / early '90s days of 4AD Records' music (bands like Clan of Xymox and Throwing Muses). It wasn't the same old crap..

I didn't catch the performance but I wish I had... I've been following them for a year or so. The lead singer's name is Karen O and she's half Korean. The full-length doesn't excite me too much but "Art Star" is a good song (from their EP)
