if it's a 64bit PC (what I suppose) download the 180-day trial copy of windows xp x64 here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/facts/trial.mspx

I noticed that some projects run a bit faster on the x64 version than on the 32bit.

When the trial period is over, buy windows vista
