HA!

Yes - stop the banks. Please. Go right ahead.

America: you let the wolves into your hen house a LONG time ago. Chickens are long dead and the wolves are hungry now.

The thing is, you SEE this and you still leave the back door wide open. All the while, you choose to yell at the African American next door, the Mexican you hired for $10 a day and the Muslim building his mosque down the street - instead of closing and locking that back door.

Your priorities are all fucked up because of fear and hate. And, you deserve to get eaten.

why are you guys bitching about banks when the problem is caused by socialist europeans who didn't produce enough to support their welfare states? Would you wish pension funds that invested in deadbeat Greece harm also? The crisis in 2008 one can fully blame the bankers for. This one I'm not sure. The fault lies mostly with socialism, imo.
I'm only bitching about US bailing them out. We are in terrible shape ourselves, at least as bad as the EU. No way should we be bailing them out.

Privatize profits, socialize losses.

Can't be having the wealthy pay for their own bad investments...can we?

Not if the GOP has anything to do with because it might hurt job creation ,hell look at all the jobs that were created with 11+ years of Bush tax cuts o_O

I think the main reason why we are bailing them out is because they also invested in trillions of US based credit default swaps that went down the shitter when the housing bubble burst.

if the EU just disappears and goes bankrupt, there goes a significant part of our export market = US hurt even more.

When the USA couldn't pay in gold, they went to controlling their own currency.

Seeing as the Euro is much closer to a substitute for gold than a true government controlled fiat currency, all Greece has to do is begin issuing its own currency to settle debts, problem solved.

If they are going to do that they might as well default since that would a form of default anyway.

It's not default unless you call it a default. Window dressing in a situation like this is all that matters.

I like your observation though. Saying that our pure fiat is all the cause of a default on debt!

you mean the China's export market. Let china bail them out. we don't have the money any more. Let someone else bail them out for over spending on nanny state programs.

Everyone would call it a default though.

I'm not happy about that either. A lot of posters have expressed their hatred on US-based banks but they did not cause this- Europeans brought it upon themselves.

You seem to forget that European bank balances are completely f*cked up by the US toxic crap they bought and the bankruptcy of Lehmann Brothers. Greece is definitely a European problem but the whole financial mess started in the USA

I also mentioned this fact above and why these pricks don't have to do time in prison is a complete travesty.

lol wtf kind of shithole rant was this? Macamus Prime is one of the funniest racists on these forums. Americans are only white! lols what a douche you are. You don't even realize how big of a fucking tool you are it's so pathetic. Way to come in here and spew some non-sense that doesn't pertain to the OP.

Fuck the banks, to big to fail? That doesn't even make sense. Everything can fail, everything can die, fuck them. And yes Craig it is the fault of the Greeks that they choose not to be economic slaves and push their economy up. Who else's fault could it possibly be? They can have the weak ass economy and all the social services they want, but we don't have to pay for it and neither should anyone else.

OMG That sounds horrible. Clearly they do not know what it means to work till you drop dead. We best remedy that.

Why should Germany (who had to raise the retirement age of their workers, I think it's 67 now?) subsidize Greek deadbeats so they can retire when they are 50?

Surprising that a year of cut backs can't make up for 30 years of over the top social welfare.

Mostly it can't up for a few years of deregulating the financial system like the rightwingers wanted :)

Ummm....that's what they did in the 80's. They basically devalued the crap out of the currency (the Drachma) until exports exceeded imports and GDP rose high enough to temporarily cover future short falls. However instead of learning their lesson they then decided it was better to continue the same failed socialist policies of spending themselves into silly massive soul crushing debt once they got their foot in the EU door and probably hoping that others would bail them out once the shit hit the fan again.
