The Baby show

Hi.

I work in an office of about 40 people. About 2 months ago a co-worker (I guess I would refer to her as a friend) left for maternity leave. Now that she's had the baby - a beautiful baby boy - she visits the office occasionally with baby in tow.

Immediately everyone drops what they're doing and crowds around, cooing and oohing at the sheer joy of babydom. Right now I believe the semi-circle contains about 10 people including baby & Mom.

I'm in my cubicle with my earbuds in (no tunes on though AHAHAH) so as to avoid people as much as possible. Honestly, I really have no desire to visit the baby show. It's actually one of those things around here that annoys the sh!t out of me - and I like babies & kids. There's two more office babies on the way within the next 5-6 months so I guess I should get used to it eh?

Why does this annoy me so? Am I just a crabby old antisocial lamer?!

Cliff notes: - Office moms bring in new babies
- It annoys me

damn i just read the whole thing without realizing there's cliffs. 🙁

anyway, i'd hate it too... people, pssh, who needs em?

Same thing happens here, like 5 women had babies just this year. Just 'accidentally' spill some coffee on the baby and they'll probably steer clear of you next time.

Walk up to the baby oggling bunch and say...."He / She has my eyes
doesn't he /she?" That should scatter them pretty well......
