I work @ Stream, doing Tech Support, and I think that we are gonna close down, we had 120+ agents, now we have 50 or so, in 2 months. I get along good w/ 4 people here. Thats now 2, and possibly 1 more is gonna be gone tonight. Grrr, no other jobs pay good in this small town... Bad news. 🙁
 
You know the funny part of all this outsourcing..

There is no quality control..

Unless your outsourcing to your own subsidary in India your getting jipped in Customer Service and other fields.

I was talking to a friend of mine who is now controlling 10-15 programmers in India (an association with another indian software firm - a small one though but they do the dirty work of programming). Anyway his constant ruckus is over how they cant program for nuts.

The management saved a tonne but the quailty of the application is so bad that he says its not longer as stable as it used to be.

I have seen Ge.Cap.Finance outsource... their indian counterparts are horrid, I prefer talking to an american person on this end to deal with my acct. issues.

Mayhem1869, I too believe in this. Faith is a wonderful thing and everything does work out... and happens for a reason.
