The AWD van- update

Went for a test drive of the Savana AWD van and the GMC Acadia V6 SUV.
Now to be honest the Savana was a conversion van so the interior was super and the dealer had used it for a few trips to Florida so the price was more reasonable the vehicle listed for over 60K. Soft ride but a bit of sway where my Yukon is more bounce.

The Acadia was nice car ride and was top of the line with nav, rear camera assist and all the bells and whistles and listed for 45k.

The next thing, I found out they have a captain's chair option for 2nd row in the yukon. This may solve my access dilema but not the softer ride.

Who knows, I plan these things about 2 years in advance so I should be down to one car seat. And the only issue with the Acadia would be luggage capacity with one teen and one 8 yr old in the back seat, one car seat in middle and GM in other captains seat. A luggage rack may help but thats weather dependent.

Although the Acadia has gotten rave reviews, I think I'd consider something along the lines of the AWD Toyota Sienna first. I have seen them towing smallish trailers, too, if you need a bit of extra storage space.
