The average person is such a moron

Tonight there was some fairly severe weather that moved through my area. There was large hail with the storms(Dime to Softball size hail) and I was hoping to not have my car hit by hail. My garage is full of crap that I just moved from my parents house a few weeks back, so me and my cousin took our cars to his work. He works for a large insurance company, so we went to their complex. We got there and there were hundreds of people everywhere. Evidently, there is a soccer field behind the Insurance Complex. They all ran up to the Parking Decks when the lightning, rain, and hail started and were all milling around. Security(my cousin dose Corporate Security) was trying to get everyone into the bottom of the Deck(under a tornado warning and several funnel clouds had been spotted). Soon, we started herding the clueless idiots into the bottom of the deck, and then finally into the atrium of the building. These people did WHATEVER you told them to. They had all their little asshole soccer kids with them who screamed and bitched when the power died(for 2 second before the UPS and generator kicked in). These kids were not young. They were middle school kids. Finally, they were all herded into the atrium and continued to act like morons. Kids continued to yell, everyone on their GODDAMN cellphone yelling, and just a typical panic.

What I don't understand is how you can be so uninformed to not know when their is a chance of bad weather. The SPC has a three day forecast, Local stations have a 7 day forecast, NWS has a 5 day. THE SKY WAS DARK FOR HOURS before it started to get bad. Yet these morons and their kids were camping out in an open field playing soccer. They had NO tornado plan... hell no severe weather plan. They were freaking out and thinking the tornado was going to hit when we told them countless times it was passing to the Southwest by a good five miles. Clueless people. Darwin was wrong. The weak do not breed out. They create more bastardized people and continue to torture all of us who have a clue, and a brain in our head.

Funny, I just wrote this for another thread. Maybe it works here too:

You will find, if you care to look, that calling people morons has been very effective. People have called other people morons so much that that form of beatific christening has become a universal feature of all our lives. One diagnostic for effective penetration of the intended effect is to check for name calling and piling on. If you can find somebody identified publicly as a moron you will find all those who themselves have been called moron sometime in the past and unfortunately didn't have the inner whatever it is that enables so few to avoid stabbing themselves in the heart with the feeling that that term is exactly fitting of them, yes you will find them gathered round that reputed moron like stink on sh!t or blow flies to a corpse, sucking it for all it's worth. This of course is due to that unfortunate psychic tendency, unavoidable to the unsuspecting, that whenever one begins to hate himself in this way, the only outlet for that pain is to try to give it to somebody else. The beauty of slur slander calumny and putdown is that in this way the entire race is infected with an all consuming self hate that makes of everybody a WMD to every newborn child. In this way will we eventually hype our hate to a pitch sufficient to exterminate ourselves from the planet. That will happen, of course, unless by some miracle I cannot see, we finally and at last feel our shame.

You post a thread about people being morons, someone gives a well thought out comment (unlike most others), and you just bash them?

Yeah I did? What is your problem with that? He doesn't even read things. I give you the example of a thread today, but it doesn't really matter. Roll your eyes all you want. If I disagree with his pot smoking outlook. Sue me.

Some people think Loonbeam is the end all when it comes to a thread. Not me.

You call that comment "well thought out"? It read like standard-issue Moonbeam psychobabble to me!

I think it is rude, and perhaps a bit hypocritical in this case.

If I disagree with his pot smoking outlook. Sue me.

If you think that people's personality becomes like moonbeam's because of pot, then you must be on pot right now. ;)

Some people think Loonbeam is the end all when it comes to a thread. Not me.
End all? I think he says things that are more insightful than perhaps anyone else I've ever "met" on the internet, and he does so on a constant basis. I don't know why people just shrug him off as a weirdo, IMO he provides an irreplaceable perspective on things. It does you alot of good to look at things from a different, deeper perspective, I don't think that most people really do that very often, if at all.

How the hell is calling a moron a moron wrong, Moonbeam? How would you act in a situation like that?

You know that if something truly bad happened, a lot of them would die because of their behaviour?

On account that the average person is a total moron, I couldn't agree more!

Oh well. I guess it just shows that one person's "Insightful" comment can be seen as thread crapping by everyone else.

I am by no means a Moonbeam disciple, but his post in this thread, if read carefully and with thought, is insightful and pertinent to the thread topic.

Yes, Moonbeam did make some good points.

But it doesn't require thought or careful reading to understand him. His post could be summed up in a few sentences, and easily understood by all. He likes to make short points in long winded posts for some reason. :p
