Interesting read.

Whether you think the RIAA are greedy bastards or not, you gotta agree that AG was great for finding new music and some more obscure songs.....

Audiogalaxy was the most sophisticated and powerful of all the p2p services. Just as he said in the article, it was magical to queue up half a dozen or so songs at night and wake up with them sitting there waiting to be played. :)

Almost all of the CD's I'v bought since I found Audiogalaxy have been because of Audiogalaxy, now I will buy alot less. :(

RIP audiogalaxy...was a great file sharing app...no doubt the greatest file sharing app ever....could get rare songs with ease....if u wanted to explore new artists, you could first check out their most popular songs and then listen to their full albums...there were a lot of nice features...too bad it is dead now. some kinda shakeout had to occur, there is just too much music out there which people are getting without paying for it.
