The Audi A6 had the same body style from 1998 - 2005.

I think that attests to the design geniuses at Audi. The present-gen A6 is JUST as beautiful and modern as the day it was released, IMHO.

Comments?

present gen? There's a new A6 out. the 300zx was the essentially the same from 90 to '97 (longer in japan)

BMW's body style was essentially the same from the late (mid?) 90s forward as well. It got a little more rounded as time went on but that was it. The new style will not age well.

It's never been particularly "beautiful". "Bland and unoffensive", yes, but not "beautiful". It's not a bad looking car and it has aged well, but it was never a great looking machine.

The difference between the previous gen 3-series and the current one is about as great as any other redesign for any other car. That's how most cars are resdesigned.

The point the OP was making is that the A6 was identical from that time frame.

If you want to talk about extremely subtle differences though, the XJ's of today look very similar to the ones found in the 80's.
