The attack AD to end all attack ADs

ProfJohn

Ok, check out this link and click on the first video Zucker Ad

Ok, the ad is crazy as hell, but you will laugh your ass off. 🙂

EDIT: just so I am clear, I think the ad is totally off the wall. Do not even listen to what the voice over is saying, just watch the images.

Zucker is the guy who did the airplane movies and this ad plays like one of his movies.

Ps. The second ad from 2004? is actually rather good I thought.

Typical for GOP to use Drudge and blogosphere to peddle ads they don't have the b@lls to air themselves.
Is Allbright running for an office?

The above is an example of why Liberal talk radio will never work. Lighten up a little, it IS funny as hell, even if it is crazy.

No one with any sense would run this ad.

BTW: as if the Democrats don't use outside groups to do their dirty work as well. Remember the ad with the chains behind the truck implying that Bush was the reason the black guy was dragged to death?

This ad is not the reason GOP will lose, they will lose because they don't know how to govern.
If they manage to keep house this year, that is only going to make 2008 so much worse for them.
Iraq is a gift that'll keep on giving.

omfg that is hilarious.

Kim Jong playing basketball, Maddy Albright mowing lawns and changing tires.

Haha the John Kerry one where he looks at the priest at the end is edding classic as well. The guy certainly has a knack for comedy.

Democrats think the war on terrorism is to important to make jokes about.
Just off the top of my head I could make an ad like the one on t.v. where the guy keeps reaching for his gun and the other slaps him before he reacts to show the Bush 'strategy' in fighting the war on terror and stopping nuclear proliferation.
Or perhaps an incredibly stupid looking guy, say one how looks like a chimp, being continually punched by a six foot bearded guy with a dialysy machine hooked up to him and instead of punching the guy back he punches Saddam.

what a bunch of hypocritical bitches.. what happened when users submitted ads to moveon.org? You sissies practically went crying to the UN with your complaints

I thought it was funny. Whether I'd let it affect my vote is another issue, but IMO the Zucker brothers are very talented comic minds.

I wasn't as impressed with the "flip flop" one, just because I always thought was so transparently silly as an anti-Kerry issue.

Hahahaha I also remember that episode well.

There is an ad playing in Michigan that shows Dick DeVos morphing into Bush then morphing back into DeVos to show that DeVos and Bush are very similar, it is without a doubt, the best political ad I have ever seen regardless of what party you belong to. I will try and find a link. I wonder if anyone has ever done this kind of ad before...

Found the ad, click to view

I laughed, it was pretty funny.

But ProfJohn is right, don't listen to what the guy says, just watch it on mute, it really lessens the comedic value when the message is wrong and idiotic.

There's political ad playing in the Boston area with a bunch of politico types walking around with their heads shoved up their b*tts (cartoon style, of course) while the voice over talks about who screwed up the Big Dig. Pretty funny, I thought-but I didn't even notice who was running the ad.

There is another one from the GOP candidate for governor pointing out the Dem candidate is evil, because back in the 70s while acting as a lawyer he helped represented a cop killer. The punch line of the ad "Do we want this kind of person (meaning lawyers, I guess, because the cop killer is still in prison) as govenor?" The unintentionally humorous part of the ad was it finished with the line "Do you really want single party rule?" I thought it was hilarious to hear the GOP whine like that.

I think most of the complaints were about the ads comparing Bush to Hitler... a bit different then saying Albright changes tires.

Was the second ad for real? "Todd fought back, we continue the fight in Iraq"? More linking Iraq to 9/11 without explicitly doing so.

Libs have no sense of humor when the satire is pointed at them.

The same can easily be said about right wingers.

There is good satire and bad satire. The Zucker ad, to me, was mediocre at best. Then again, I think movies he has written and/or directed have sucked, so it's not surprising I'm not that impressed by an ad by him.

Hell, look at this thread. Kerry took a basic expression and adjusted it. It has never meant you're actually killing anything, but apparently, there are some who will take anything out of proportion. It was basically Kerry saying "You should have put me in office." Yet clearly some go nuts.

It's for Christy Mihos. It's a shame his ads don't really let you know much about him because Heally really sucks.

They should have a al-qaeda recruiting video and have a fake Osama saying how everyone should vote republican because mr bush is the greatest recruiter they have ever had.. and have fake Osama thank Americans for sending their children to Iraq for al-qaeda recruiting.

I think politicians should just stay out of the joke business, unless they are damn good at it like Reagan.

Kerry tried to make a joke on Maher, and failed.
Hillary tried to make a joke about Gandhi working at a gas station and failed.
I think Allen was trying to be funny when he made the macaca comment, and he failed at being funny.

Now Al Gore poking fun at himself IS funny. Ala his "want to see the Al Gore version of the Macarena?" :stands still: "would you like to see it again?"
Bush making fun of himself at this years press dinner was funny as well.
