The number of games played in a season and the number of players per team are major factors in annual team revenues and those average player salaries.

Whelp, Tebow is out there showing his skills to the MLB this week--maybe the Vikings should send a crew over to Georgia or Florida or wherever he's hanging out now to snatch him up? He's probably in decent shape!

That doesn't seem like a bad idea. I'm really glad my fantasy draft is next week, I usually end up picking people who fall apart in the preseason. Like I said, hopefully Romo hangs it up and goes into coaching or broadcasting or something. I think Teddy can pick it up next year and do well.

Why is that? He's still young and a torn ACL is rarely the career-ender that it used to be.

It's not just a simple torn ACL though. Dislocated knee and other structural damage. Teddy wasn't a top tier QB and his recovery time could well extend into the 2017 season. Its Not For Long for a reason.

Dude's salary cap number is only $2.1MM in 2017 which is pretty damn cheap for a NFL starter caliber QB. Hell, a couple years ago the same Vikes paid Josh Freeman more than that after he was already stinking the place up in Tampa. Freeman then proceeded to enjoy his multi-million dollar contract by giving one of the worst QB performances in NFL history in prime time on Monday Night Football. Unless Bridgewater's leg gets amputated he's gonna play.

You think they won't try and replace him with a rookie in the next off season? His road to recovery is going to be long with no guarantee he'll be the same player.

He'll play somewhere else then. Even with one leg he'd be better than some of the other backups out there.

He isn't a running QB is he? If not, even if he loses some speed, he can work on his already decent passing skills and be fine.

Now, Vikes may not want to take the chance on waiting out his recovery, but he's fairly cheap for his ability / ceiling.

Guess he was surplus with Kelly gone. I don't think he'll do awful for the Vikings if he can stay healthy, though it looks like a downgrade.
