I'm confused by the first one. What does angel food cake have to do with religion, other than the name? Atheists can eat it too.

Because they're also mocking atheists' as well. Like sao123 said, you know there's probably an ATOTer or two where this would apply (like DVK).

You know, with DVK916, PAB, and Montypythizzle banned (though isn't Monty's up?), what the hell are we going to do for entertainment around here?

As a resident atheist, I find what has been quoted quite funny, thank you very much. That said, I haven't read the actual link because I dare not go to somethingawful from work, but I fully expect to find it hilarious when I do read it.
