The only thing I can think of is that it pushes you to the 999/1000 mark in exalted which is obviously worthless beyond epeen but no one cares. If they pay it they are doing it just for the title and that zone wide buff.

Until the portal is created in shattrath, you need to go to Ironforge and fly to there. Do not be shocked at the incredibly long distance, if you fly from IF->QD, you will be ported once you leave IF. If you fly from QD->IF, you must take the entire flight.

Personally, I want to see how long it takes to go from Quel'Danis to Booty Bay .

Grr, stupidly I spent 30 badges to get 2 vortex when I should've just paid ~300g for them. I didn't realize they'd be sold for so cheap on day 1. STUPID STUPID STUPID. Now stage 3 is gonna hit in the next few days for new badge rewards and I gotta farm 30 badges with my guild who doesn't feel like doing any raids anymore. :( Trying to get that rogue chestpiece for 100 badges...

(Got the belt of deep shadow already and belt of blasting on my lock at least).

the chest is a nice nice piece of gear. I was gonna get the chest in SSC, but the new badge one is even nicer.

So can you get badges on a daily basis from dailies? or is it a random chance?

This weekend ill do magister's terrace (heroic), heroic daily, and kara. that should get me to my 100 badges. then need to save up another 100 for the legs, and then 60 for the ring.

Nah, the ability to fly around and grab things at a much higher rate of speed is to not be thought lightly of. I'm tempted to give money to get it for my warrior, but the problem is... my warrior plays with my priest and obviously my priest can't keep up with an epic flying mount on a normal flying mount. My accounts have around 8000g combined.

Gold's not horribly hard to get, but you get it trickling in. The secret to getting gold is not to spend it! I see so many people complaining that they have no gold and I look at what they do. They lend out tons of money... nice that you help others get your flying mount, but average payback period is insanely long... just kiss that money goodbye! They buy worthless blue gear... sorry, but 100g is a waste of money on some blue that you'll probably just end up replacing anyway... especially if you're not even 70 yet!! Do not be one of those people that buys level 60 blues when you can just run the lower level TBC instances for gear.

Another secret is... don't be nice! People will dick you over in WoW like it's their business and don't think it will "give you street cred" when you're nice to someone, because more than not, it won't. People will love to not tip you for wasting a bunch of your time, won't pay for conjured items, etc. Like the other day, I waited 15-20 minutes for this guy to bring me mats for the Greater Arcane Protection Potion. He only brought enough for 19 of them so I gave him one that I had in the bank. The son of a bitch didn't even tip me when I gave him a potion! He made me wait that damn long and for what... "thx!" That son of a motherless orc, I was pissed!

There's also a situation when I was out farming motes of mana and a rogue asks me for food. See, there's a natural issue with doing this. I wanted one primal mana so I could make a primal might and /pray that I would get a fucking transmute proc ( which I didn't, so fuck you Blizzard... 12 transmutes and ONLY one 2x proc? ) and helping this rogue out by giving them food is only allowing them to farm more, which in turn hurts me! Not only that, but I'm assisting the rogue in making more gold per hour, which means they should share the wealth a bit. But nope, no fucking tip. Stingy sons of bitches.

totally agree with what you said. i never give out money nor have i bought blue stuff at AH. the only thing i have bought at AH is a kick ass shadow wand that was far better than what i had...

also the only time i give money is at our guild bank. If there are items in there that i need like a crap load of netherweave ill take it and throw in some gold in the guild bank. or if i have some stuff i dont need but some lower levels do ill trade it in the guild bank. in fact its the guild rules, if you take something out of the gulild bank you should put something back like money or items you dont need but somebody else may.

if those items aren't used for a while the guild master will AH/vendor them and put the proceeds back in the guild bank. we were able get our third tab by doing this and almost have enough for our 4th.

yeap i am amazed at how many people buy gear just to get better with a little time.

I don't give money to the GB anymore. they asked for donations then locked it so nobody can get any..yet the GM is levle 43 with kick ass gear and brags how they just spent 300+ on a weapon enchant when all they do is sit around and talk...

the guild is great. full of awesome people. but thats the one thing i hate.

nice, i just cant seem to break 500.

dailys and mining make you a ton of gold

and that 500G is server dependent cause all the economys differ, but it shoudl be around that

FWIW im back over 5k again lol 220 gold from dailys yesterday

I think they key to making a lot of gold is getting that epic flying mount. Sure, it costs you a ton of money but once you have it you have a much easier time making money. Of course I could be full of it since I don't actually have one. :p

I made a ton of money with my engi+mining. I don't know the current state of mote clouds anymore but my god I remember farming upwards of 1000g in 7-10 hours due to spawn rates and server economy.

About to ding 70. Also just passed enough gold to pay for the regular flying mount. Entered hellfire at 62, the swamp at 64, the forest at 66, and nagrand at 68. I should have just enough quest left to level before completing nagrand, but if I don't (or I don't find groups fast enough for the group quest that are the majority of them), it shouldn't take very long in the mountains. That gives me 3 zones worth of quest to do still to try and make a dent on the elite flying mount cost.

also have a couple thousand honor points already. Haven't entered a BG yet though as they've come from world PvP quest and anti ganking. I haven't looked at current item honor cost, but from my memory of the previous levels that would be about enough for a piece of armor or a 1H weapon. Last night also managed to spend some time in a Halaa fight for the first time which was fairly entertaining.

I think Rage on SC completed their first warglaive set last night and people were babbling about a rogue displaying it when I zoned to org before logging off.

My previously 10-man only guild got 25 people together last night for the first time ever. We went to Gruul's lair and got Maulgar down after 4 attempts and Gruul after 3. Not bad imo given most of the guild had never even been in a raid with more than 10 people.

Err, it's early and Monday, so I can't tell. Is that an attempt to downplay our accomplishment?

No, it's mocking my own guilds :p. Like how someone in one of them said, "It takes about 4 hours to do a quick clear of Kara." I just laughed :p.

WoW is now officially throwing money at you. The quick dailies of IQD(phase 2) and Hellfire/Netherstorm is 7 dailies and greens/motes/cloth etc. I have 4 70s running them, with the epic fliers(2) also running Nagrand/BEM/Skettis/Netherwing(3 quickies).

I just did this on Saturday and Sunday. Took a little over 2 hours for all 4 toons to get it all done and netted me ~42 quests done @ ~10 a piece, trash/cash/cloth/greens to be about 75g. So about 500g for ~2 hours of work.

I'm not sure what to do with all the cash now... buy a 3rd epic flyer or bank the cash for later... or something else. Investing in shit that might spike could be good, but mostly I just play for fun... I make money to spend it. I'm not concerned about video game gold in the long term.

I can't get my dailies done that fast. Sometimes the bombing runs take forever to get done as you know you just wasted a good 10 minutes when someone that's not in your group sets off in front of you. The last one I did took 3-4 flights just to get it done =\.

I just do it on two characters at this point and I haven't done Hellfire ones since the patch came out. They were simply too much of a pain to do, but they did hotfix the Initiates to have a faster respawn time. Maybe I'll give it a try again, but Hellfire is simply out of the way as I normally fly to Nagrand then to Netherstorm then back to Shatt.

Quel'Danis ones aren't too bad except for that bombing run. Also, the bombs don't seem to kill them fast enough sometimes so if my mage (usually sets off after my shaman) kills a mob, my shaman won't get credit because he's too far away. It'd be nice if the activating the crystal ward quest thing didn't require both people to get the 4 Mana Remnants... it'd be so much faster.

I do the Isle, then hearth and do the fishing daily, Hellfire, north to Netherstorm, over to Blade's Edge for mana cells, then south to Nagrand then back to Shatt.

So I bought my way to exhaulted with scyers. Cost about 800g from 1/2 way into honored to exhaulted. that inclued 8 arcane tomes for the runes.

Went to TK last night, downed A'lar and Solarian. Couldnt down VR though, the combat text has been changed so bigwigs wont call out who has the orbs. That and he doesnt target the people anymore either, so you cant just use the target of target to see.

Yeah. I definitely stagger my start to make sure I have at least separation in front of me. The tagging of the mobs that take 2 hits(sorcs and pit lords) can be an issue. There are a couple more secluded sorcerer spawns that people miss that makes it easier. Typically it takes me 2 runs to finish, sometimes 1 if I get up early enough to do it. I usually do my dailies early(like 8 AM server) and do other stuff the rest of the day.

They did indeed hotfix the initiates making it a lot easier. Also the embers quest is extremely easy as the fire elementals don't have to be your tag, just any elemental you are near that dies. You see people roaming in packs pulling them and then like 5-6 people mow them down for very fast credit.

After these two in Hellfire it's just a quick flight north using your mount(not the FP) to a manaforge for the Sunfury plans.

I skip Nagrand on a 60% mount even tho the quest is EZ. Too much time spent getting to the spirit fields and back for me.

True dat. Some healer friends of mine sometimes ask for me to DPS to do that quicker and with so many people around and the lower drop rate it can take a while.

That has to be people either going AFK all the time or just generally being slow. With some decent AoE and an aggressive tank 3.5 hours... damn that's a long time for a Kara clear man.

We are similarly geared and just run it for badges I guess you could say with some alts wanting gear too... and we basically non stop pull... the trash dies so fast in there... that's the part that speeds up the run the most imo. Pull faster!

1.5 hous is FLYING through the instance, fastest ive personally done it is 2.1 hours with a T6 Geared prot paly chain pulling and AOE tanking every pull with T6 healers and DPS to back that up, that run we killed Curator before the first evo lol

3.5 hours isnt slow, i remember when we started doing it a year ago and it woudl take us 2 days to clear the place attumen-opera on day 1 and then curator -p rince on day 2

as for dailys, normally i dont have time before raids to do many so i just do the Skettis bombing- booterang- negrand and bombing /rays in BEM

i did all of them this weekend and yea the cashflow is insane, i however dont really need it, im about to push over 7k, i made 500G on sat selling green gems for like 1.5G each on the AH, they sold out near instantly

i got bored this weekend and speced fire destro to see how it is now that they changed some of the talents
Something like this

sac imp, puts out some serious numbers, ran a kara and a ZA with it 8K incinerate crits and 2k immo crits, comflag will crit over 4k, very sim to shadow destro, doing dailys is cake with it immo-incin-conflag will kill anything if any of those 3 crit. its very viable now, depends on raid synergy and all that
