Oh and I finally got my first multiple transmute yesterday. It took me about 7 or so transmutes to finally get it and I got an extra primal fire out of a mana -> fire transmute.

Tipping is just that though. I don't expect it. I have opened countless locked boxes for free and when they dont tip it isnt an issue. I wasted < 1 minute.

Now the one that gets me is "LF Xmute - pst" - I do the xmute, and they dont tip (24 hours CD on that). One time someone was saying "Paying 6g for a Xmute" I did it and learned xmute Water -> Earth and they say GRATS!!!! and dont pay.

I said "you said 6g" and they respond "but you learned something, grats"

Gold is so ridiculously easy to come by these days that I never care about getting tips anymore. Come 2.4 it is going to be even easier. Did you guys read the guide on Curse about the new daily quests? They claim you can get over 100g in your first 30 min of dailies. After reading the quest descriptions, I am inclined to believe them or at least believe that they are close.

Sounds like they're trying to kill off gold farming.

Or, they're increasing mount costs for the expansion >.<

yea gold is stupidily easy to farm right now, id be over 10K if i didnt buy my brother most of his craftable gear and help him powerlvl BSing on his warrior,

i was farming Primal lifes this past weekend in Zanger in the Bog place north of swamproot, farmed 20 of them, took a few hours as there were a few other there and i made 400G from just the vendor trash, handfull of blues and tons of greens that arnt counted in that figure

I don't care about lock box tipping either, but the fact that I had to sit there for about 2+ minutes conjuring water (and drinking some to conjure more) and saving the person around 10g made me a little perturbed! I've had people tip me 5g to open a couple lockboxes as a rogue and rarely do I ever get a tip as a mage for water. Heck, when I open lockboxes, I hit accept as soon as it's done. If they want to throw in a tip, that's cool, if they want to just hit accept, whatever. If they make me do a bunch of lockboxes and I'm a little busy, then I might care a little more. Also if they just open a trade window with me when I'm busy, then I'd care too.

Also, I did have to pay for the books to learn those since I never had them drop for me and people don't really appreciate lower level food/water.

Haha, you should've just told them, "That's the most worthless transmute other than Life -> Earth, gimme the damn money!"

I'd say probably more of an idiot or wanted to see if they could do it. Survival specced I'd assume. I don't think I could ever do that unless I purposely left ammo out, because I'd be wanting to shoot without even thinking about it (not to mention if you have ammo and a weapon, it will switch to auto-shoot at a certain distance).

I only care if I save you a decent amount of money. I kind of hate the idea of dailies on my characters. The problem is, to do Dailies on 9 characters (as I'm nearing 70 on my #8 and #9), it will take almost an entire day =\. I think what I'll do is spend the most time on the people that need the reputation (such as my JC).

What I'm kind of looking forward to are the new PVP reputation-based sets. They only require Honored with Lower City, HH/Thrallmar, Sha'tar and the Keepers of Time. The only one of those that's hard to get honored with is Sha'tar (it just takes a bit of time unless you turn in lots of Fel Armaments or Arcane Tomes). With that, I'll probably be buying the hunter weapon on my hunter first rather than saving up for the armor. The S3 armor is obviously better, but trying to get PVP pieces for each slot helps too :p.

Oh and is the PTR down? Because I've either never had my chars available or there are no realms to choose from (hell, on the "suggest a realm" screen, you can't even choose a zone so you can never even see the realms).

I read about that guy. He pretty much just acts like a waste of space in battlegrounds on his rogue and I believe he's doing the same on his priest, except he will actually heal in battlegrounds. I think it's kind of dumb though. I don't see how someone can actively participate in war and call themselves a pacifist (if I remember correctly, that's his guild name). Stupid people.

There was also the hunter that leveled to 70 naked (except ranged of course).

Why in god's name would you need so much gold that the idea of doing the dailies for more than 2 characters would even cross your mind? Hell, I never do them with any of my chars except my main and even then I only do 2-3 dailies every other day while still managing to maintain a good profit flowing. Even if you wanted epic flying speed for all 9 characters, you should easily be able to succeed saving that gold by just doing the regular quests in Outlands. In any case, if the guide at Curse is accurate then you should be able to accumulate over 900g per day in 4 hours and 30 minutes of time using all 9 of your characters assuming they are all 70's. That is 27,000g per month assuming a 30 day month lol.

Uhh reputation? Duh  SSO actually offers something more than a stupid flying mount that I don't really want.

I don't do any of them . Although I kind of want to get the Gronn kill quests so I can try to two man them. I might respec my warrior to prot to do this though :(.

Sigh, you don't think I've tried this before? You [d]do not make enough money[/b] to do this!! I could if I did it on all 9 characters and tossed money around, but one character cannot do it for themselves (excluding doing dailies at the same time).

Hmm in that case I think I will take a line from Mr. Chappelle, "I'm rich, bitch!" If I wasn't so lazy that is.

Yes, I must say that the rewards for SSO are far better for the majority of classes and builds than I have ever witnessed within a single faction before. You'll be pleased to find out how quickly the rep can be farmed. Check out that guide from Curse I mentioned. It is truly impressive.

Most likely, but you know Blizz. Anything can happen. Just don't hold your breath.

mage alt here I come then.

Heh, you will love the day you get to run raids and not do any cc with a mage(trust me ;) ). As far as boomkin go, you can offtank as a boomkin for cc. Anything S1 level gear or better your armor is so high you will likely have comparable mitigation to a T4 prot warrior. There is a nice video of a boomkin tanking Prince. Of course, mages are still the best cc in game hands down, but just wanted to throw out that there are alternate ways to cc with a boomkin besides cyclone.

Biggest thing about a mage, be prepared to die. A lot. Druids are obnoxiously easy to keep going with by comparison. My main is a mage, my main alt is a drood. I have an absolute blast playing the mage, but you are a glass cannon and always have to keep that in mind. Some of the non ccable mobs in heroics I can easily solo on my mage, but they one shot me if I get touched at all(I'm over 10K hp, that isn't my problem), such is the life of a mage ;)

That reminds me of the time I was talking on vent and this girl in group was on her mage. She mentioned that if a mob even looks at her, she dies. I hit my PTT key a tad bit too late and called her an "ass cannon" :p. I like my mage... I'm rarely outdone in damage in pitiful PUGs and they're quite nice to farm on with their "infinite" supplies. I may start farming on my warlock sometime soon though, but still transferring water to him from my mage.

EDIT:

Only thing that ever beat me in damage when I was on my fire mage was a Demo-Sac loc :(.

EDIT 2:

I should add though that they were in epics and I was in blues and greens with a 2 "S2" PVP pieces (note, the non-set epics designed for S2, not the new upgraded ones for S3). Although, I think I was messing up a bit when it came to predicting DPS and casting accordingly. Typically it's fireball spam unless the mob has a lot of hit points ( in which it's better to get some fire vuln up ), but I'll possibly cast a scorch near the end if I think I can get a scorch then a fireblast in.

Yeah, most people don't appreciate mage food and water. The only time I'll drop a table is for guild raids and heroics. I'm sick and tired of entering AV and the first thing I see on my screen is some punk saying "mage tbl plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I always appreciate the mage tables in BGs and especially AV. I don't necessarily expect it, but I don't feel guilty hoping for one either. The way I look at it is their contribution is helping me heal much better which in turn will increase their survival which will hopefully net them and everyone else more honor.

It pisses me off since they're expecting me to use 2x arcane powders so they can get their biscuits, yet most don't use their own reagents. If a priest asks me to drop a table and gives me an hour long fort buff, then fine, I'll drop it, but most of the time, I get asked to drop a table and I get no buffs so screw it.

But them punks never heal me :|. I can make myself water and food just as easy ;). WoW is too much of a "mememememememeemmeme" game where most players have no sense of helping another (in a viable way... running someone through an instance is playing for them, not helping them).

I have such great friends in the game that I asked someone that I've helped and went on runs before when they asked (I did have some use in it, but I didn't care that much about going) for 10 minutes of help in doing my pally charger quest in stratholme (I cleared already). They refused saying they got nothing out of it. Okay... that sure felt wonderful receiving such a response for the first time I've ever asked for help in 3+ years of playing WoW.

I love dailies, and I always make it a point to always do the quick ones (both Skettis and then 3 Ogri'la (no demon banishing)). I'm exalted with all 3 daily factions. SSO is gonna be fun to rep up with. I can't wait.

Trust me. If the buffs lasted through death or even being limited to say 5 deaths, you would be seeing a lot more reagents spent. I don't particularly enjoy buffing a 40 man AV one person at a time but I do it because almost everyone is going to die at least once in a short period of time and that initial boost can really help dominate the field.

I've never understood why someone will fight me for a mob instead of saying, "Hey, let's group up!" This can get especially bad when you need mobs for a quest and someone's killing them for reps and drops (ogres in Nagrand) and they won't invite you so you're forced to pretty much kill steal .
