Well, at this point it's not going to take nearly as long as it used to, due to the number of nerfs these bosses have taken. They certainly aren't going to be nearly as easy as the previous ones though. I remember a number of guilds on my server were on Vashj and Kael for months before downing them, although the guilds that recently downed them for the first time were able to do so in much less. I'd guess that you'll spend roughly a month or so on them.

You're going to attune some of your other raiders and not go back to TK/SSC for awhile. Perhaps you'll be stuck on a boss and will go back to clear when you are tired of wiping. I would do rage and the guy after him, then try najentus. The hp requrement will be a bit of a shock at first (everyone 10k hp minimum) but after you get him down there are two quite easy bosses with supremus and akama.

Random question.

Seems like warlocks would be great for heroics because of seduction/banish.
Are they the best cc in game?

sheep is by far better, you can only banish elementials and demons, and in heroics your succy will get 1 shot by anything, and no popular lock spec us ea succy

fear is a really powerfull CC if you can use it and no pull extra mobs

the 6 bosses after kael, Rage, Anetheron, & Kazrogal in MH and Naj, Supremus and Akama in BT are all easier then Kael/vashj. people arnt lieing when they say that, in my old guild we spent less then a month in TK and SSC to get them down we were then 4/5 and 5/9 2 weeks later with most members having less then 2 parts of T5 gear

most guilds clear them for a few weeks after getting the first 25 attuned to round out the numbers. after that many guilds will purchase an instance from a guild not killing Kael or Vashj and just do them and maybe attune some random people that sold the ID as well

its totally a matter of playstyle, mages locks and hunters are all really really different

I'm at a loss because warlocks seem like they would have more fun/problems due to pet and can also banish the rare elemental/demon that just has to be CC'ed....

But the mage would have less headaches more reliable cc but less tricks and possibly slightly less dps...

What about balance druid? I actually like my frost mage, very fun.

the only negative things about druid CC is about how grossly overpowered it is in PVP

its not very usefull at all in PVE, its go for O FUCK CYCLONE THAT but i would not count it as a CC

Yea something a long the lines of this is what I heard. Does this include root?

Which basically leaves me with mage warlock if druid's root is useless in pve heroics as well.

Cyclone = Usable anywhere, lasts 6 seconds, and leaves your target completely useless like a stun effect

Roots = Only usable outdoors, lasts a while (over 20 seconds), immobilizes the target but still allows them to use any of their abilities just like frost nova.

This makes roots almost completely useless inside 5 mans and raids.

With that said, how should we approach Hyjal/BT in regards to our raid schedule? We raid 3 nights a week for 3 hours a night. I'm thinking:

week 1: Hyjal/Hyjal/Hyjal
week 2: BT/BT/BT

repeat.

That way we get to experience both instances, and it gives us 3-day stretches at a time to learn from the previous nights' progress. Can we spend equal time in both, or should we try to farm Hyjal first?

Hyjal will quickly become a farm fest for you with exception of Archimonde. Based upon what I have observed in terms of progression on my server, most guilds finish Hyjal up until Archimonde and then progress through BT up until Reliquary of Souls or Bloodboil. That's when they go back and beat Archimonde followed by continuing with BT.

Obviously, you do not have to follow that progression tree but that is the trend I have noticed which is probably for a good reason. Personally, I don't like banging my head against a wall with a raid boss anymore than necessary so I would prefer to gear up in BT before working on Archimonde. We'll see what the officers in my guild decide.

i would do
Day 1 - MH
Day 2 - BT
Day 3 - based on what you have killed go to where you think you will have the most success

you "should" be able to get 3/5 in MH in 1 learning night, Azgalor might be hard to push in there, on day 2 in BT Naj supreamus and Akama should not take you long at all, only roadblock here is getting the right makeup for Naj so you have enough people with 10K+ HP - priests and mages have the hardest time with this

after that you are looking at Azgalor or gorefiend, about equally hard, gorefiend is a idiot check+DPS race, Azgalor is a pseudo idiot check and somewhat luck, getting every single healer doomed in a row sucks

also tell your raid that Janna, Thrall and Akama DO NOT HAVE QUESTS FOR YOU

on a random side note, one of my small groups favorite tricks in heroics is to use a priest to MC a mob... easy way to break up a 4 or 5 group of mobs because th emc'ed one almost always dies and usually gets another to almost death...

0/21/40 uses a Succubus pretty darned exclusively ;).

High Destro locks use a Succubus as well.

I'd say be a lock or a mage. Go for the class with no real CC role or an easy CC role. Trapping as a hunter is just a pain in the ass sometimes (mainly because trap cooldown > trap effect duration... unless you get the D3 + spec Survival). A succubus is an alright CC, but the problem is that the cast time can make it pretty bad if you're close to the group. You really end up doing a lot like fearing the mob and then having it be seduced again.

Ehh Cyclone is not like a stun effect, but more like a Banish effect since he cannot attack or use spells and you cannot affect him.

summoning the succy to only kill in 1 second later does not really qualify as "useing" to me :)

technicially you are correct but i am as well

Ya, that would be more accurate.

Well, I consider it using because you still cannot summon another demon or enslave a demon. So the succubus may not be usable, but you're "stuck with her." It's like a hunter leaving his pet dead (except that'd be really stupid :p).

Prepare for text of "can have water plz?" Then the bitches don't tip! Someone asked for 4 stacks of water and some food, I expected a little bit of monies for my time since I saved them around 10g. All I got was "kthxbai" and a /hug ~_~. /hug don't buy me epic flying mount!

EDIT:

Oh and I finally got my first multiple transmute yesterday. It took me about 7 or so transmutes to finally get it and I got an extra primal fire out of a mana -> fire transmute.

Tipping is just that though. I don't expect it. I have opened countless locked boxes for free and when they dont tip it isnt an issue. I wasted < 1 minute.

Now the one that gets me is "LF Xmute - pst" - I do the xmute, and they dont tip (24 hours CD on that). One time someone was saying "Paying 6g for a Xmute" I did it and learned xmute Water -> Earth and they say GRATS!!!! and dont pay.

I said "you said 6g" and they respond "but you learned something, grats"
