Edit: Hmm, they're BoP. Well, should I try and get a pattern?

whats your characters name again?

26 attempts on a boss in a night for weeks? I thought hardcore just meant you raided practically every night... not spent all day/night in there too. :D

some of those attempts lasted a grand total of 30 seconds, you can get a lot of those in a 3-4 hour period

Was reading some of the beta stuff about locks. If every class is getting these types of changes it should feel like a different game when the expansion comes out. Saw a comment about them trying to make aff just as good a raiding spec as destro, which would be good for me since I've played an aff since oh, just after they turned servers on. :)

The change to lock pets though I'm not so sure how I like. Big blue getting boosted is nice, but swapping stealth detection to him when health funnel is in effect is just a bit wacko to me. Besides, I tend to have the hunter out during pvp for a reason.

Thats my point, why nerf them?

Edit: And you'll pry my shaman out of my cold dead hands...
which the deathknight might acheive this unfortunately =(

I would be surprised if elemental shamans or any class/spec gets left behind in wotlk. I realize that some things may seem foreign on paper, but as lupi mentioned in an earlier post everything is changing so much. Not all class/spec combos will be intended to be "the best" at everything of course. Some specs will be more PvP oriented while others are better for raids etc. However, Blizz seems very serious about making sure that each class/spec will become something which is considered valuable in wotlk.

Also, while I do urge everyone to create a DK based on the feedback I have heard so far about them, I would not look at them as some sort of god send either. They will have their weaknesses and flaws just like all classes. Unless I was truly unhappy playing my current main, I would not switch. Instead, I would play my DK as an alt and then decide whether or not to switch after I get both chars to 80 and fool around a bit with the end game content.

most of our early wipes were either tank gibs for figureing out healing or adds just not being picked up and givving random people

then there was the "Oh so i guess that darkness is bad" stage when moveing sents and the "snadowbolt volley is not good for range" stage

Er, that was supposed to be consume shadows and not health funnel.

And what's the story with inscription/runes. Someone on general posted a bunch of druid ones, including one that turned bear form into polar bear. Are all these going to be BOP when made? Is there a new rune slot?

Also about the token menu, other than honor, arena, and BG marks any solid idea of what goes in them?

Currently, inscription is not available yet for testing, but I do have some details which I can share. First and foremost, let me tell you what I have confirmed for sure. There is a new tab in everyone's spell book called Glyphs. This tab shows a table which currently contains 6 circular indentations which look like something can be inserted into them. At least part of how Inscription works is by purchasing blank parchments and using them plus other materials to create special parchments. These special parchments are used by enchanters to create enchantments which will now be BoE items that can be sold on the AH. That means enchanters will no longer need to be physically present to enchant your stuff.

Now, this is what I have not confirmed. I have also heard terms used such as "Minor Glyphs" which leads me to believe that there are also "Major Glyphs" although I am not sure about either of these. My theory is that the 6 indentations on the new Glyphs tab are for Major Glyphs and we are limited to 6 of them. We may not be limited to Minor Glyphs. I'll try to confirm more about this stuff as I see it myself. There also might be more info out on the web which is more accurate than my theory which I would also like to hear about since I have not looked for the info myself.

Sounds like you're referring to Nature's Grace being removed from the Restoration tree? This may actually be a good thing as it will finally make Enhancement Shamans stop wasting so many talent points in the restoration tree just to essentially get 4 points worth of talents. There are some decent talents in there, but with the inclusion of that insta-cast on 5 crits thing in Enhancement... chances are Shamans will be not be sitting around hitting 3 buttons like they used to (Stormstrike, Flame shock, Earth Shock, rotate).

Enhancement Shammies are going to be quite nice in PVE :D.

EDIT:

About glyphs... there are 3 types of glyphs. There's a Minor, "Normal" (forget the term) and Major. There are 6 slots open and 2 for each type. Supposedly Inscripters will get the ability to get the 7th unlocked. The minor are usually the cosmetic type of things like changing polymorph to a penguin, etc. The Major will be things that are good.. like buffing a spell, etc.

EDIT 2:

Nothing as depressing as a lay of hands on the main tank for 0.

We have occasional problems with the sent tank navigating darkness. It only takes a 1/10th of a second of hesitation when the tank is on the opposite side of the sent with darkness up for it to come over and wipe half the raid. Good thing though is we have zero recurring issues with humanoid adds now and we are seeing < 5% and phase 2 more consistently. I smell a kill any day now.

Huge thread :Q

I am on Proudmoore, cleared kara many times, gruul, mags, 4/6 ssc (no vash or k yet) , got solarian and alar in tk, just got rage last night, got anetheron to 30% but too many people new to the fight and no time to keep trying so we will have to try again soon.

Real close to champion of the naaru title, need hslabs and mags (did mags before i had the title quest)

I have some t5 and a sunwell polearm (shivering felspine) and some badge gear, the guild i am in is amazing and i have no doubt i will be in bt soon :)

BE Hunter by the way, Marks/Surv(traps)

Anyone else on Proudmoore?

Meh, it wouldn't make much of a difference anyways considering the drop rates and most guilds do not spend too much time farming the trash anyways. It is talked about far more than it is done. People get way too bored especially since they get very little fruit for their efforts. They end up getting more for their time by farming MH/BT.

Last week, Tigole hinted that Heroic Badges and BG Tokens would get storage space. If you are on beta and type "/console showtokenframe 1" followed by "/token", this tokens window will show and it's probably the new storage system Tigole talked about that will track all your tokens, honor and arena points.

You can probably just do that command in the beta and see it better than just looking at a screen shot.

Thanks! Worldofraids is blocked too, but that command will do just fine.

Do the trash epics flow like wine in there?
