The AT Motherboard Compatibility for Wolfdale and Yorkfield Processors article...

Regarding this article from a couple of weeks back; are there any updates to it? Will there be?

Specifically, I'm interested in Yorkfield support for my Gigabyte P965-DS3 Rev1.0.

We will be testing their P965 motherboards shortly to see if the latest revision 3 boards work properly or not. However, since the P965 chipset does not officially support the new 45nm processors, there is no guarantee of compatibility.

I know that I have a Rev1.0 and the article states asking about Rev3 boards, but possibly, if Gigabyte says anything, they'll say something about all of them. 🙂

Just curious. If the answer for me is "Sorry buddy" I will most probably get a Q6700, clock it to 3-3.2GHz and be done with upgrades for awhile. It would be cheaper than an upcoming Q9450 + new motherboard.
