The AT Garage Rides Thread

I drive a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L bought in Nov 2008 for $23000cdn with 65000km
Great price at the time for our area

Now it is at ~91000km from my driving to school and work;

I've put a few thousand already in to the car by way of:

HID Retrofit (TSX Projectors, Denso Ballast, Phillips 85122 Bulbs, e46 Replica Shroud)
OEM Acura TL-S Front & Rear Sway Bars
2003-2005 OEM Lip Kit (Cut and modded to fit)
2006-2007 OEM Lip Spoiler

And more recently upgraded my sound system:

Alpine 9886 Deck
PAC SWI-JACK Steering Wheel Interface
Infinity Kappa 60.9CS Speakers
Infinity Kappa 692.1i Speakers
Infinity Reference 475a Amp

Arriving Soon:
Infinity Reference 1300a Amp
Infinity Kappa 124.7w Subwoofer

Future Plans:
Suspension
Rims + Tires
Then I should be done modding completely!

My Dad drives a 2007 Lexus ES350

Petrol wth is that!

Mine is a minivan, GASOLINE powdered, and I paid $15,800 for it. $15k has been the sweet spot on a couple of our cars, bought 1-3 years old. I would go up to 20k next time if I put money down, maybe.

Rockin' the '00 Maxima GLE (family, gas), that I bought in '01 with about 28K miles for $15,800 IIRC. It's not sporty, but it's pretty comfortable and is now up to 210K trouble-free miles. Other than fluid changes I've spent less than $1000 (including brakes) on this thing and it returns over 26MPG on average.

I have no idea what my next car is going to be. There are so many nice cars of all different types. I'll go from thinking about getting a really nice (used) luxury car like a G35/G37, to a sporty car like 350Z/370Z or Mustang, to a practical commuter car like a Focus/Civic/Fit. But for now, the Max is still running strong.

07 Accord Coupe EX-L i4 auto, bought at the end of 07 for ~~$21500, got about 45k miles on it now 🙁

major complaint w/ the car was that the stereo sucked so i put a killer stereo in mine 🙂
I did a kenwood kdc x993 head unit
w/ focal access components in the front, and 6x9's in the rear
JLAudio 10w3 sub
alpine pdx 4.150 for the speakers, and JL Slash 250/1 for the sub

how do you like the TL-S sway bars ? do you have the 4cyl or v6. im may pick up the 17mm standard TL sway bar soon.

TL-S sway bars are awesome and make a HUGE difference in the handling characteristics of the car. The benefit is even further when you upgrade the suspension.

The car will feel far more planted in general, but may be subject to a little more suspension movement because the bottom end got tighter than normal.

Don't bother with the 17mm bar UNLESS you are not upgrading the front. The reason for this is only to avoid oversteer.

Get the 20mm rear sway bar if you are going to also get the TL-S front sway bar. If you upgrade both like I did your car will retain the slight understeer that you feel at stock.

You may notice the car might feel heavier which is likely due to the increased unsprung weight.

They are VERY worthwhile. Front sway bar is extremely difficult to install and requires dropping of the subframe so I would not reccomend it to be done on your own (you have to pry the subframe to get the old bar out and the new one in). You might need new endlinks if they are rusted to hell... I was really lucky that I did not need any. Rear sway bar can be installed easily on your own, might have to bend the exhaust hanger a little so it does not rub

I have the k24 but the sways are universal.

2008 Ford Fusion SE 5-speed manual for me. I bought it SLIGHTLY used in February of this year for $10999 with only 5800 miles on the odometer.

Many ATOT Garage regulars told me that I "stole it". 😀

I have been very happy and impressed with it thus far. I LOVE the SYNC feature!

Petrol IS gasoline. Plus, I don't think POWDERING your car with GASOLINE will make it go anywhere. It will however make it quite flammable. =p Next time you knock on someone's terminology, make sure you don't make any mistakes worth knocking on yourself. =D

ANYWAY

1999 Toyota Camry, loaded. 3.0L 220 hp (not bad for a family sedan), still kickin at 196,500 miles, and continues to blow the doors off of almost every honda or acura rice rocket or sushi scooter around.

Added an Alpine deck with mp3, the car already had premium sound so it goes loud enough for me.

2000 BMW 328i sedan. every option (unfortunately this includes steptronic - blah) except park distance control, harmon kardon sound (it sucked - too much treble), and heated seats. 74k miles, and no problems with it so far.

2k Mustang GT
5 spd, white with black leather, 61k miles.
bone stock, the only "upgrade" I made was a set of wheels and tires off an 04 Mach 1.
