yaaay no constant crashes on lunch today.

maxed out the medic unlocks, back to assault recon and engineer(maxed out eng, but I like tossing out the tank mines)

Just find a key someone is using then goto EA support live chat, tell em the key is in use and BAM play the game!

Not tested yet, but I have seen people today claiming if you run the game exe as Administrator, it works.

Edit: Confirmed! I have Win 7 x64, if I right click the BFBC2Game.exe file and tell it to run as Administrator, when I bring up the server list, it has the LAT(ency) column filled in!

Confirmed. was using it last night. List is there but it is not obvious that your friends are online. If you know they are you can click the arrow and follow them in. Game tries to put you on same team/same squad which is nice.

Alright, so I reformatted my PC and installed Windows 7 Professional along with all the latest and greatest driver and the game still doesn't run that well. I'm thinking about getting a Radeon 5770 but I'm not sure if this will give me the full performance I really want.

Any ideas?

I have to believe its the ran or the gpu to be honest.

tab any way you can monitor your ram and gpu load?

It doesn't max out my ram, I don't think I've ever seen it go beyond ~800MB and I still have ~500 free.

What everyone's else memory usage like?

5770 will not max it out. I've been doing some testing and it's not running as fast as I thought it was. When you get into more intense stuff it really slows down with everything up. However, I'm going to wait for the release version to say for sure how well it will run it.

What settings are you running on?

If I could put in a 5770 for $150 and get playable (no less than 30fps 99% of the time) I'd do it and hold off upgrading for a while.

That's what I'd rather do at least, trying to figure out if it's possible.

Currently playing around. Running at 1900x1200, 4x aa/af with all else on medium. I get 60+ out on my own. In intense fire around 25-40 depending on whats happening.

It hasn't worked for me AT ALL, until yesterday. I think yesterday was the first time I ran the EXE as Admin. Could this be the difference? Just like the Latency in the server list?

If it has been working for you, can you tell me what OS you run? As admin?

I copied a shortcut off to my desktop from STEAM, just right click create desktop shortcut.

Windows 7 64bit

I do not run it as Admin, just normally...ie right click + OPEN, or double click.

I've added about 6 friends to the list, and connect to their servers when I get on.
