Well I just saw a terrible glitch on obliteration. The bomb was dropped in the water near A and no one could pick it back up. ROFL

that sadly sums up about every rnd of CNQ so far as well.

....although getting 5 free kills if you make it up the elevator and/or 'chute in behind them is pretty fun.

you can run the Recon class with a Carbine now, its a amazing combo in the beta TBH

But then you look like a retarded Wookie chasing people around! I don't think C4 should be restricted to the Recon class (and it makes more sense for the Engineer to have it anyway).

NO, there are too many engineers already. With lock on RPG's, all you see are engineers and snipers in conquest. I need someone to occasionally drop me some ammo and revive me.....while I play engineer.

I deeply hate the sniper class or more like the way it's usually played, but I might give it a shot with the changes in BF4.

BF4 Beta is looking more like a rooftop simulator

Yup, i freaking hate the beta map and mostly cause of all the roof campers.Hoping for something like a Close Quarters type map or a couple as i am not a vehicle person.

Today is the first time i have been able to sit down and enjoy the game since the new patch and not worry about stuttering or whatever and the more i played the map the more i hated it.Look left, look right and then look in front of me for enemies after running a half mile marathon to a capture point and drop dead and oh guess where the death came from?Above as usual it seems from a roof recon lol.

The problem in BF4 like BF3 is sniping is too easy. The bullet drop is not enough to make sniping an issue. They should work in wind direction on the bullets as well, something to make sniping more challenging so less players take it up full time.

The problem is, unless you're sniping someone 2 miles away, you're sight is accounting for most bullet drop. Most snipes are not that far away, and a bullet isn't going to deviate that much unless there is severe wind.

While I do think sniping is fairly easy in the BF series, making the bullets act all funky isn't going to solve the real problem: people prefer to camp because they dislike dying.

In BF3, I pretty much stopped playing anything but the Close Quarters maps. Sure, shotguns took about as much skill as hitting the Earth with any thrown object, but even then it was fun. People ran in squads, camping was pretty minimum, and only like 1 in every 25 games would anyone snipe.

I like obliteration a lot too. It's the most frustrating game mode ever if you're on a bad team though. If you're trying to do anything with the bomb there are 16 people shooting at it on the opposing team. If you lone wolf it you're toast.

And thats why I hate it - at least on this map. The addition of the parachute in spawn for this map is terrible - everyone wants to go play on the roof tops and not do a damn thing about the bomb. I think I wasted about an hour trying to find a good Obliteration game last night.

I will say that once I did actually find one it was fun but I mark this game type as 'most likely to give me a heart attack'

That was awesome, especially the ending. :D

So funny yet so very sad

It's the short engagement ranges that's the problem. Now, I've hit snipers on rooftops needing to use the 2nd line on the bullet drop compensator on the sniper rifle's scope. I could see the bullet fire and just lob until it hit.

Even that is probably more extreme than reality because the shot wasn't that far.

Is fun to see just how much energy and how much drop each cartridge type has. Gameplay balance wise, maybe there need to be other things done to make Recontards less enjoyable. But if we can call in artillery strikes every so often that should do the trick.

I didn't really notice any difference after the patch.

Switching from HBAO to SSAO really smoothed things up for me, though.
