As my old FX5800 broken, i have to select new one but my Mother B. is a AGP8X and I havent got many options (as our country dont get many VGA models)

GeFX 5800 got Core-400Mhz, Memory-800Mhz, 128 bit, 128MB

Im thinking of Ge 6800 but it got core 300Mhz, Mem 7000Mhz, 128MB but 256bit

1 does it'll add a perfomance boost?
2 is it easy to unlock P-pipes? & could that damage???

3 does there will be difference between a 128MB 6600LE[128bit] & a 256 MB 6600LE [128bit]

4 Or is it worth to get a low end 6200 or 6600, and some RAM (1GB or 512 ) sticks, and later some time upgrade to PCI express?

Will the current DDR RAM usage will change? [by ddr2 or other thing]

thanks

Depends on if you WANT IT NOW!

6800 is a good buy, 6800LE is hit and miss. 6800LE offers more promise since you may be able to unlock the pipes, but the 6800 is a better card at stock, and you have a better chance of unlocking to 16/6. (LE is stock 8/4, NU is 12/4).

If you can wait, best would be to upgrade to PCI-E, or at least wait until the AGP 6800GS comes out.

EDIT: 6800LE's are really hard to find these days, so you may have to pay more than they're worth. Don't pay more than $125 for a new one. 6800's are about $175 but those are drying up as well. 6800GS AGP will be around $250.
