The civil war was also about a group of backwards states that thought they could do whatever they wanted and thought they were tougher than the blue states. Guess what? They got beat down, partially because they were backwards. The red states are still backwards and you are acting like a tough guy. So I'm just reminding you of the red state history of getting their ass kicked.

Cost of living and real estate prices are far higher in blue states, it only makes sense to shut down the bases and move them to more cost-effective parts of the country. Maybe Uncle Sam can make some dough selling the land to real estate developers.
