That's a reason why the Turks are reluctant to help out the US in Iraq.
They hide behind the falacy about the UN becoming mad at them, or that they need money for the expenses. In Turkey the KURDS (PKK) are seemed as Terrorists and for the generals in Turkey to send help to the Kurdish troops in Norther Iraq will not bode well with the citizens and politicians in Ankara. (Kinda ironic how Turkeys political leaders are made up %45 Kurds themselves  )

Plus the new acting government in Iraq will NOT give any land to the Kurds either.
Even though Bush "might" get over one hurdle of the Iraq reconstruction process, Iraq has a LOT of enemies waiting to pounce on it. One will be the Kurds which were promised a separate nation once Saddam was ousted. I don't think Iraq wants to go through what Turkey is going through now.
