The Anandtech 2015 GPU benchmarks are here!

I don't know why it rarely gets referenced on these forums, but for years I've found the Anandtech video card benchmark database to be a useful and fun tool for comparing graphics cards. It's easy to use, and Anandtech keeps it refreshed with a new set of relevant games each year. The games are tested ranging from resolutions at 1080p, 1440p, and 2160p. I was checking the benchmarks when looking for a good replacement for my brother's Radeon HD 5770 and I noticed the 2015 benchmarks have been added to the database. 2015's suite of games are:

Battlefield 4
Civilization: Beyond Earth
Crysis 3 (with minimum frame rate benchmarks)
Dragon Age Inquisition
Far Cry 4
GRID Autosport
Shadow of Mordor (with minimum frame rate benchmarks)
The Talos Principle
Total War: Attila

The actual amount of cards tested under each game is limited right now, but I'm sure they're working to test each graphics card in those games and add the information. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of Dragon Age Inquisition and Total War: Attila. I'm a big player of Dragon Age, and my brother loves Total War: Attila.

The titan x review was up. I read the 1st page but looks like it has been pulled and replaced with the live blog 🙁

When they go back to redo all of these (baseline), do they use the most recent drivers for all cards? Or do they go all the way back to the launch drivers of each GPU?

I still find it completely unacceptable that they are using a reference 290/290X for these tests. The noise, temps, and power consumption are NOT what customers will see buying today. Its a discredit to the cards on the market today.

Is that Anandtech's problem, or AMD's problem for keeping the 290X reference at such an underwhelming standard?

Reference cards have not been available (outside old stock hanging around) for a year. They do not represent what is on sale. It is not AMD's fault, the current cards are superior in every way. Anandtech is the only tech review site I know of that is still using 290X reference cards.

It's the guy trying to research video cards problem at this point. I dunno why they wouldn't use something other than a reference card either.

It would be nice to have 2 entries, reference for worst case and then some middle-of-the pack for what can be done with better cooling.

I'd also like to see older cards added like my GTX 680, to see if the difference between it and the 980 is still around 60-75% at 19x10 like in Bench 2014.

(Sigh, I miss die shrinks. 3 model years and only 75%?)
