Generally speaking I think folk can't look at a list of differences, say between country and their leanings, without trying to figure out which is better. I find it rather interesting that in individualistic America, the individualists call it a Nanny State. Such types also have a massive collection of memes about Europe they will doubtless regurgitate here.

I did take a good look at it. There are some problems with it. Like the:

Which is more important: Nobody in Need or Freedom to pursue life's goals

They are basically the same thing in both countries. Here in the USA people are basically thinking college, college, college, college.

In Europe people are basically thinking, take care of my every little need because its so scary to go it on your own.

Both require the government to shoulder all the risk. What people mean by "freedom to pursue lifes goals" in the USA = government pays for education and what people mean by "Nobody in Need " in Europe = government pays for education AND health etc.

That's not true at all.

I also disagreed with the article where it says:

And Americans are less inclined than the Western Europeans, with the exception of the French, to help other nations.

I find that rather ironic given, you know, BOTH World Wars. :\

And since then, when a nation is having problems; who do they come knock on the door?

great, another one of these threads...

let me save us all some trouble and play it out real quick:

some guy: "in europe..."

'muricans:" 'MURICA STRONG, BALD EAGLES AND SHIT, WERE #1, (pelvic thrusts) SHOCK AND AWE, FUCK DA TURRURISTS"
and throw in some flagwaving, rants about liberals, rants about British CCTVs, a joke about France surrendering, some geographical fuck ups and 4-5 pages later the thread dies.

there, I saved us all some time.
