Buddy was almost 17 yrs old, he was the smartest, nicest cat. He died at 5:30 pm today
while being patted by me in the vet's office.

He had a cancer and putting him to sleep was the right thing to do but I'm still soo sad 🙁

RIP my friend

I am sorry for your loss. It appears that I am going to have to put my dog down soon. He is very ill and is getting weaker.

Sorry about your kitty Jean! I'm sure that was a very tough decision, but it had to be made! 🙁

Sorry about your doggy too Ulfwald! 🙁

It's never easy to lose an old pet. When I was 15, one of my cats died; we'd had her since I was born.

Buddy was so smart, he learned to use the toliet so he wouldn't have to walk down to the litterbox on the 1st floor. he used to open doors and he could tell the difference between the crinkle of deli ham paper from other meats...deli ham was his favorite.

Sorry for your loss, GB. I'm an animal lover from my diaper days. Cats have always been my fave. Seem to have a connection with the feline species. I've got two strays in my house now. One who is about 14, and the other is about six months. Just two weeks ago the older one had to go to the vet because of a lump I discovered on her cheek. I thought it was the worst, of course. Turned out it's a benign cyst and she's fine.
Cats are cool. Take comfort in knowing you spoiled Buddy all these years. 17 years is a fine run.

I can't say I'm an animal person, but after I put our dog down I cried like a baby.

Sorry about your loss.

Truly a gifted cat.

I was at the vet and someone had their 24yr old Siamese kitty on their shoulder (yes, it was alive).

That's too bad. I would love to see pics of Buddy if you have any.

Like Carbo, cats are drawn to me for some reason. I love cats and I hate hearing about your loss.
