The altrustic,helpful nature of cats

I've been cooking an 18 pound turkey for awhile now. Each time I go to the oven to baste my bird, there are my cats guarding the oven door ,ready to throw themselves in harm's way in case I drop that bird. Anybody else have such noble, self sacrificing pets? 🙂

My incredible felines are always the first in the sink to test the water to ensure that the temperature is appropriate for my use.

Yes....mine comes running whenever i use a can opener. I can only assume she's there to offer assistance in case i cut myself on the can.

Same here with my dog - she also knows the sound of the pantry door opening!

My dog, from outside the house and all the way across the yard, can hear the sound of silverware being scraped upon a plate, and comes running up to the side door, bangs her nose on the door to get our attention, and demands to come inside to see if we've scraped anything into her food dish.

Everytime I go into the kitchen the two of them are there just to make sure I get out with everything ok...
