Well with all that is going on now in Iraq no one is going to help us. We started cleaning out the outhouse and now that we are knee deep in now don't expect others to jump in and help now that the smell is good and ripe.

This should of been done some 12 years ago. More to the point Bush Sr. should of not called off the dogs for another 3 hours and we would not be knee deep in the outhouse now cleaning it up.
Just three hours more and this would of been taken care of then, that was that was needed... three hours... He got scared because of the highway of death and some reporters that got some pics and the story of it was going to be released.

No, Bush quit because he gave his word he would only go so far. He kept it. Bush the Greater had some principles. Would it have made it easier? Maybe. Maybe we would be sitting around here today debating on how we can get out of Iraq 12 years later.

Why the US Didn't Topple Saddam in 1991

After driving Iraq out of Kuwait, the US made a conscious decision not to invade Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein because it feared the potential consequences of such an action. A ground invasion posed the danger of radicalization and social upheavals throughout the Arab world, as well as unpopular heavy US causalities.

Removing Saddam ran the risk of leading to the break-up of the Iraqi state, which would seriously destabilize the region. To avoid such a scenario, the US would have had to occupy Iraq to maintain stability - which Bush Sr. was unwilling to do. Ever since, the right-wing of the Republican Party has been obsessed with the apparent failure of US power to remove Saddam and has consistently campaigned for the US to "finish the job."

With US imperialism temporarily strengthened after 9/11 and its rapid victory in Afghanistan, and with the hawkish Rumsfeld wing dominating the Bush administration, they see the opportunity to finally solve the "Iraq problem" which they view as a source of annoyance and embarrassment.

Now Bush wants to make ordinary Iraqis and Americans suffer through yet another war on Iraq for the power, prestige and profits of US capitalism.

Are you disputing the article?
It is just one of many that I've happened upon that say the same thing.. Is Ted Kopple a socialist?
April Gillespie? Did she say what she said she said?
If a diamond drops in the toilet is it still a diamond?

The next president will have to remember to not clean someone else's outhouse until asked to do so.

And even then, who the hell would want to clean someone else's outhouse?

Great career move for Bush though. From president to septic man. But he'd just screw that up too.

Maybe Bush and Co. wanted to clean Iraq's outhouse because it's full of oil. Maybe it wasn't an outhouse at all!

But just like everything else in Bush's life he turned it into sh!t.

The guy couldn't find oil at a service station. Self service or full service.
