The Alice game is AMAZING

I just loaded up the game earlier today and I'm in awe at the graphics. In my opinion this is the reason gamers buy expensive video cards. I can't get over how surreal the graphics look on this game. Has anyone played Alice?

I'll admit that its not the best game ever made, but the graphics. Oh man the graphics. It's like playing a piece of Salvador Dali's art

Amazing, yes. Good, NO!

The game sucks. The graphics are awesome.

Game play is boring and uninnovative. The game is short and easy.

Thumbs down.

Gotta agree with the opinions here. I played the demo, and I loved the surreal atmosphere of the game. It just felt cool. But, I really couldn't get into the game play so I didn't buy it. Too bad, because the look and feel of the game is awesome.

What does stupid have to do with it?

I didn't hate the game. I am just sorry I paid for it when the demo had the best parts for free.

There was a lot of boring repetition. Irritating cut scenes (though not as bad as NOLF's). And slash, hack, chop your enemies (typical of the genre). Not much gameplay innovation. The bosses were pretty easy.

On the other hand, the graphics were amazing (but so what - there is more to a game than eyecandy) and (to be fair) the storyline wasn't half bad.

I just thought it was a good overall experience. Good for $30 not for $50 is how i see it. Somewhat simple gameplay at times.. but the sound/graphics/cutscenes/voiceacting/enviroment really made for a nice experience. Some of the levels were really amazing.

NOLF was just annoying and dragged on and on. It was fun for the first 3/4th's or so.

You're totally right in your comparison to Dali. I felt it most in the level where you're floating through space and all the doors are passing around you. Crazy graphics!

I FREAKIN' LOVED THE GAME! It is just a matter of taste. Some people rave about games like Serious Sam, and although it had some nice graphics the game freakin' sucked! Ya it was cool the first few levels but then it just got repetitious. No new monsters just A LOT MORE of the same. And the levels were pretty similar with NO variety. At least in Alice the levels were really cool (it took a BIG imagination to come up with some of those wacky levels). I thought the game had really good control too, however I do admit you need to get use to the movements. I give the game 5 BIG stars for a nice new fresh game. I rank this game as one of my favorite games of all time! I played that game for 5 hrs one night and 14hrs STRAIGHT the next night! I haven't got into a game that much since my Nintendo (original) days. Like I said, I LOVED the game but it is all a matter of taste. What one guy likes, another guy hates. 😉

I loved the game too, though I must admit it felt like you are doing the same thing over and over, just running around the awesome looking levels was quite an experience for me. After getting this game, I threw away my TNT2 and got a GF2 GTS, last week I started playing over again and I am still impressed with the graphics and level design. There hasn't been a game so innovative for a long long time (well, except for the gameplay itself 🙂 )
