Still clinging on to my 'ancient' ABIT KG-7 board, and Ive only managed to get the FSB to 140 from 133 Mhz, a pathetic overclock in every sense. Ive relaxed my memory timings so loose theyre nearly falling out of the slots, and my multiplier is so low other multipliers are starting to call it shorty. Is this just a result of an un-overclockable motherboard, or possibly something to do with my T-bred magma beast? Has anyone else out there had any experience with this motherboard? If they have any advice would be welcome, thanks in advance! :D

Richdog: I have the Epox 8K7A which is also an AMD 761 chipset like the KG-7. I can safely go to 142 or 143 fsb before hard drive corruption occurs. Some folks got real lucky on this chipset and could go to 170 fsb or higher, but looking around that is the exception rather than the rule. I too am at 1.6 with a 1.4 Athlon AYHJA chip at 133 fsb. When I bought the setup from PC Nut they had it configured for a 10.5 x 142 for 1542 on the cpu. That fsb area was the limit from their testing. To keep the board longer it might be time to pick a an XP2400+ which might work on your board with cpu multiplier and voltage set to 'Auto'. Check with Abit to see if they have a bios that recognizes the Athlon XP chips first. About $80 for a 40% to 50% percent improvement in speed is a great deal. :D
