The 950 pro is slower then my 850 Pro using adapter

Actually its same speed. I saw no difference getting the darn sammy M.2 nand. I did reasearch and my X79 motherboard is 750mbps ,, Instead of 2500mbps

I should have gotten the PCI slot SSD

Well what adapter are you using.

If you're using a PCIe 2.0 x4 adapter and a PCIe 3.0 x4 M.2 NVMe drive, you'll be limited to PCIe2.0 x4 bandwidth which is 1/2 of PCIe 3.0 x4 bandwidth.


Also make sure you have the Samsung NVMe drivers not the generic microsoft ones.
