As I looked at all the 7800GS reviews I could find, they all reviewed the same set of games. Fear, HL2, Lost Cost, Quake 4, Battlefield 2, Day of Defeat:Source, and a few other similar titles.

Not in one single review of the 7800GS did I see a single MMO being benchmarked. A lot of people play MMOs, and at least some of the titles should be included in a comprehensive review.

It seems like in some games, the 7800GS bests the 6800GT, the card I currently own by as must at 1.5x. In some titles, though, it can barely tie the older 6800GT due to its 8 ROPs versus the 16 on the 6800GT.

If anyone knows where I can find a reliable review of a 7800GS in EQ2, I'd be much obliged. My 6800GT and 2005FPW really start feeling the pinch in some of the higher zones. I don't have the money to revamp my desktop, which is what I'd prefer, but I do have the money to get a 7800GS if necessary. It'd likely be eVGA's super clocked CO edition though, so I'll have to take that into consideration when looking at any review.

Wanna tell me where you saw the review of the 7800GS with Day of Defeat? I cannot find it. Thanks.

I can't remember where it was, I just opened every review of the 7800GS I could find in a new tap and looked at the titles it was benchmarked in.

You'd need to look at other factors like RAM and CPU as well as graphics card.
Most sites seem to think those looking at the 7800GS also have 2GB RAM and an FX57/60.

Upgrading from 6800GT AGP to 7800GS is a waste of $$$. If you were going from 6600GT or something it would be understandable. Sure it will provide better framerates, I just don't the increase is worth $300 US.

Unless you play only EQ, you should look at other games as well:

I'll have to watch the prices. Newegg is selling the eVGA card for 320, well below eVGA's MSRP of 380. Its likely prices on these cards will fall a lot lower.
