You need to clarify what you're comparing here. The 9700 Pro is a desktop card...the Mobility 9700 is probably what you're talking about I presume. The 6600 go is built to go head to head with the Mobility X700. Both of these are a step ahead of the Mobility 9700 (quite sigfnicantly I might add). The two former cards break over 5000 on 3dmark2003 where as the Mobility 9700 hovers around 2900-3400 depending on how much you've overclocked. The Mobility 9700 isn't much more than a VERY sligthly overclocked Mobility 9600 Pro as it uses same core, same process with VERY sligthly higher timings. Ignore the naming conventions. It's completely fubared in the notebook market.
Given the choice, the 6600Go is a no brainer.
