When I started my new job I soon realized that I was loosing weight. In the first month I lost about 20 something pounds. (~225 to ~204). This job is great because I'm almost always moving around and I'm lifting heavy boxes an such.
I think I've reached the point where I'm probably not gonna lose much more without additional exercise. I do get out to play hockey for about an hour and a half, once or twice every week, but tonight I also added running to my day when I get home from work.
I did a run to a close park and home, and I was pretty winded when I got back. I figure I was running for about 10-12 minutes, so I decided to use my car to see how far I actually went. It turns out the whole run was only 1.2 km (.75 miles).
Last september (sept '99 - when I started grade 12), I weighed roughly 240. I am really happy that I'm down to almost 200, but I really want to reach about 180 or less.
Since I'm trying to drop some weight right now, should I just stick to my running/hockey before I start to bulk up on the weights? I want to get stronger as well as thinner so I dont know if I should try to find time for weight lifting.
