The dude's trying to market it to the really wealthy (he mentioned Lucas, Jackson, Speilberg and Scorsese by name). But he really went overkill on certain things. 16 18-inch subwoofers in a 26.5 feet wide and 33 feet long room - WTF?

Very nice setup. How many he'll sell? Probably none. But he has the nicest theater on the planet, hands down.

Someone send this guy some links to high-end, commercial speakers.

His room and screen are big enough to validate a purchase of a theatrical speaker setup.

that's incredible. And given the guy was a studio engineer for Chesky I'm sure it sounds out of this world incredible.

I'm laughing at all the haters, this guy did it right.

Probably struck a deal with McIntosh. Or possibly that's what he preferred. Probably a combination of both.

Given what he's done for a living and the time he could easily pick up the phone and ask for favors.

Or he just really likes tubes. Can't blame him.

Yeah who knows I mean I have heard a 165k Burmester system played through the cheapest speakers they ever used on them that were still 10k focals, and I have to admit I dont think I have ever heard a cleaner sound in my life. They were putting together a McInstosh room while I was getting my Paradigms and even tho I didnt get to hear them I have heard some cars using the amps etc.

AC power conditioning for the KSS is, again, done to the max. Next to the garage, there are two mammoth General Electric 13,800-volt/800-amp step-down transformers; all of the cabling is audiophile-grade wire, and every aspect of performance and presentation is scrutinized, even down to the 40-amp cryogenically treated circuit breakers for each and every component in the system.

Very awesome setup... however, I wouldn't want it in myhome (even if I had the money). Granted, it would be awesome to have the $$$ for it, and to watch something in that environment, but man that space doesn't look comfortable or inviting at all. Nothing wrong with people that are into it.... I'd just rather buy about 1/8 the gear and a ferrari... :)

I think the other HT setups on that website are nicer. In fact, the reader's postings, aside from lower ceilings, actually seem better because they were cheaper to construct than the pros'.

I think the SMX theater that gave inspiration to Anand for his HT is on there too.

Wish they had more pictures....

Sheesh guys, grow up. No need to insult anybody here.

Jeremy, if you are reading this thread, forgive the immature adolescents.

This thread originated in OT, thus the imature comments at first.
