I'm going to show my ignorance here - it's been a while since I've built a computer.
Anyway, I got my parents a new Sempron + motherboard to replace their Celeron 533. Installed the new stuff, and it POSTed just fine, but when it begins to load Windows, it just reboots. Every single time, as soon as the progress bar comes up, reboot. Only 2 things I could think of:
1) The old power supply didn't have the extra 4 pin power connector, so there was nothing plugged into that plug on the motherboard. Could that be the problem?
2) Something to do with the contents of the hard drive itself. I didn't format it before changing the CPU/mobo. Some sort of driver conflict?
