Best: My youngest child was born

Worst: Getting completely railroaded by the family court system.

the court/justice system is so fucked. we are dealing with some things in the system also. and it's terrible. its all about trying to drag stuff out and screw anyone trying to do any good whatsoever. Its like the government would like us all to be criminals, and the system is setup to try to make that happen at all costs.

Worst? Waking up every day.

Best? Some 3600 times less to wake up. Every day that passes is one less to pass.

And the Sun is the same in a relative way but you're older.
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

It feels like this decade never happened, it just went so fast. Anything that says 2010 still feels "new" to me, yet that's 10 years ago. I honestly have nothing good or bad that happened, it feels like 2010 was only a few years ago and basically everything just stayed status quo, which is not bad. At least nothing bad happened. Still have my job, house, health, family etc. Lost some people along the way mind you... but such is life.

Really wish there was a way to slow down time.

I say that the highlight of the last decade was the birth of my daughter.

The lowlight? The Mayne threads. Definitely the Mayne threads. ;)

One kid is enough of a load, I don't want to think about how two at the exact same age would be.
Next decade I should be an empty nester, so I've got that going for me.

When my ex's parents bought a house that had a pool, they just had it filled in.

Best: I've had stomach/bloat issues for as long as I can remember. Probably over 2 decades. I had to endure an episode back in January where I was admitted to the hospital for what they discovered was a twisted colon because nothing was coming out and I couldn't even stand up straight anymore. Doc said the section they removed was the girth of my thigh. Long story short, and a colostomy bag, plus reversal months later, I have zero bloat and no more stomach pains. Should've seen the doc and gotten scans way sooner. Listen to your mom, folks.

Worst: Went through the above while hundreds of miles away at a kids hockey tournament just across the border. Had to sit through traffic crossing back before finally being seen by a doc (healthcare in Canada is not free for foreigners BTW). Also had to sit in a car for 11 hours five days after major surgery because we had driven there. Sadly, don't think flying would've been any better, or allowed.

Middle: Responsible for $6k out of $70k+ worth of medical procedures.

You just do what you have to and that's all we ever knew. My [same-gender] twins were easy once they were past 4. They are best friends and never ever fight anymore. The fighting stopped at like 3 when we would have to stand over them in case they threw Hot Wheels at each other's face. Now we only have to attend 1 event at a time rather than multiple like every other family we know. I can't imagine having to do it all over for a younger sibling.

Best: Found a good job

Worst: Sister died unexpectedly in 2016 and Trump became president. I mourned twice that year.

Did Trump becoming president really impact you much personally, though? Unless you're a farmer caught up in the Chinese trade war or a refugee stuck at the border, I can't imagine that his presidency has impacted your life all that much personally.

(I know, I know... this isn't the P&N forum)

Best: Realized my life long dream of living near the beach.
Worst: Ya know considering all my family is still alive and healthy and seeing some of you losing your loved ones or personal health issues, my worst seems so trivial so I got nuthin'.
