The concept/prototype was amazing. The production model is a let-down with its 'safe' design.

yes i concur. I wish they put the ford 3.5 V6 though... but oh well, it will still be out of my reach... let's hope the new Xtype will look as good.

Jag's been on lifesupport for decades. I'm truely suprised that Ford hasn't taken that brand behind the barn and put it out of it's misery.

Saab is kind of the same way for GM.

There was another post on the new XF design here. My comments still stand.

As for Jaguar's fortunes in general, considering that two Indian companies are the leading bidders for the company, I think we can safely say that the big cat is headed for extinction.
