The 14th Expansion for EQ1

Here's the SOE link. http://everquest.station.sony.com/

Personally, I think its great that they are continuing to support EQ1 with new content, but they charge too much for it. Buried Sea cost 30 USD. EQ1 expansions shouldn't cost more than 10, possibly 15 if there is enough content to warrant it.

I half want to DL the free trial, just to see how common zones between EQ1 and 2 look in the older game. But I really don't have the time to do anything effectively in EQ1.

No joke. It's not like it was ever easy on your free time, either.

good lord, i thought they werent releasing any more expansions....they need to let it die already.

They cut back from two annually to just one annually.

EQ 1 is a cash cow and they will milk it for all its worth, There are people on there that have put in literally years of their lives into it and the thought of a delete is unconscionable. I sort of feel the same way with FF11, they keep releasing expansions and the content keep getting better so why quit, sure I dont play as much as I used to, but I log on at set times, do some guild stuff and leave for a week or two. Still fun but not life consuming..SE will ride this till it no longer is profitable, look at Ultima.

First quest in this game is to track down all the expansions. They provide you the pen and paper with a little written description.

Reward is ability to log into game. Truely an epic quest with 14 expansions lol.

The best part is just taking the Everquest.exe, sticking it in a lone folder and kicking off the patcher. Then let the patcher download all 14 of em ;p
