What would you do with the money? (Assuming you're not a ATOT millionaire)

http://www.adweek.com/news/televisi...l-controversial-reality-show-briefcase-165103

The show features struggling American families, one of which is gifted a briefcase containing $101,000. But the windfall comes with a catch. The recipients are given information on another family, struggling as badly, if not worse. Some have children with disabilities. Some are wounded military veterans. All of them need help.

The family given the briefcase of cash has to decide whether to keep the cash or share it with the other family. The casting so far would seem to show The Briefcase chooses families who put the strangers before themselves.

Hookers and blow for weeks, then go back to being poor so it's like it never happened. :)

I would keep it. Thats life changing money and I need it too.

I'm tempted to say that if they are poor (and more than likely uneducated) that the money would only temporarily relieve their life issues. After they blow it on fancy cars and new shoes that they don't need they'll be back to square one.

So if I'm following the story correctly, say family 1 decides to keep the money and family 2 chooses to share with family 1, lets say they want to give them 50%. Family 1 gets to keep all their $$$ + 50% of the other families? For my faith in humanity I'd want to see both share, but I just don't see it going like that some of the times. But then again some of the most generous people I know are either lower income or down right poor.

Wow, TV has sunk to new all-time lows. I didn't think it could get worse, but here we are...

Nah, there's plenty of room.

I remember a line from an old Zero Punctuation Review....here we go, Split/Second: Velocity:

"You probably get your jollies by buying two poverty-stricken pregnant women, and telling them that neither are getting out of the arena alive until one has eaten the other's fetus."

Maybe in another 20 years?

That's been demonstrated in multiple studies. The show sucks because all "reality" TV sucks.

I would probably give it away. I hate getting handouts.

Well, seeing that everybody is "struggling" and "starving" these days. I'd keep it.

its swinging around again. Reality TV is dying. Look at its most sucessful show American Idol.

Toast.

Content like House of Cards is bringing people back to real shows. Reality TV is becoming the niche it was to begin with.

Now if we can just get rid of some of the cable stations that air shit like Duggers we can free of this tyranny.

"Give it away" makes it sound like you're giving up the entire amount. I doubt I'd do that. But I'd happily split it 50/50. And I wouldn't be upset if they kept their suitcase.

Sharing is caring :)

I would share it because its the right thing to do and being a reality show there has to be a catch.

Who wants to be known as the greedy mofo who kept kids with disabilities poor?

I would go as far as giving the cash to orphaned children because my kids have a father who can provide for them.

I am sure someone is gonna keep it and get hammered for being a dick.
